Samsung le40m86 main board issue.

A slight problem with a le40m86

On the main board.

When powered up from cold

the picutre jumps..
Only for a short while
When warm it functions perfeclty fine.
Any one seen before
Thinking a cap dry joint or failing cap ?

Also it keeps switching off till it is warm

Could be panel tabs - but that would not cause switching off. Main boards do have a few faults on these models. BGA reflow may be necessary...

Its not the panel tabs
I have a good known working board that I have used to isolate the error

loud static noise through the speakers..
But then after a couple of mins its works fine..

Going to test with digital tuner off

then see how long it works when warm...
If bga error shouldn't it freeze/ lock up after a while ??

Get a hair dryer and gently warm up the main processor then turn the Tv on, see what happens.

As to it switching off, this could be a caps issue, the hair dryer trick may help isolate your issue once again.
