    sanyo dp42740

Hello guys, I have this sanyo set. the green light turns on for @ 3 sec.
I've read the service manual that Tom66 has tag to another thread. My question is what is the resistance when it is shorted to ground. (high or low)

    Resistance check so far:

    P35 pin 1 = 1 M ohm

    P25 pin 5 = 4.4 K ohms

    SN20 pin 30 = 4.4 K ohms

    SS23 pin 1 = 7 M ohms

none of those are short. short is essentially zero ohms or close to it but then depending on what is being checked hundreds of ohms could indicate part of the circuit shorted.

this being a panasonic based panel, the most common problem is with the SS board going short at ss11 or the rjp30e4 transistors on that board short. but being a Sanyo mainboard could be a mainboard issue too.

      SN board could fail too

searching this model, there have been reports of that led on for 3 secs then out. not sure what the fix is

Is there anyway to find the orginal boards for this set. Looks like someone replaced the sn board and I don't know if it is the right one.

Let's revisit this tv. Ok, I've out that the audio 13v is missing. Traced it back to the ic6630
voltage reg. 3.3 on the right leg and 1.8 on the big tab on top and .5 on the left left.

Does anyone have the service manual for Sanyo DP42740-02? I'm trying the schematic for the 13v audio.

                  Epson EB-U42 projector / Caps with 0.7 ohms ?!
                  by narf
                  hi all,

first of all: i'm a (motivated) newbie, so please forgive me any stupid question i may or may not ask

i'm currently repairing a projector: Epson EB-U42 that doesn't start (no lights, nothing).

                  what i've found so far:
                  - the PSU does its job and supplies 12V to the mainboard via the connector.
                  - shortly thereafter, there is a mosfet (TS420-600B) where i can test 12V on the one side (in the data sheet this side is called Anode), Gate 0V, Kathode shorted to ground
                  - not far away, there's the first cap with a resistance of 0.7 ohms....

Sanyo DP42740 - Powers On, No Video - Missing 15/25v
                  by grimacelord
TV original came to me with no power, no LED, no sign of life whatsoever. I took some initial voltage measurements and found the SN board had multiple shorted components on the board and I found a replacement cheap enough so I replaced the SN board. I also bought and installed a repair kit for the main power supply board. Now, the TV shows some signs of life, but it still isn't there yet. I scoured through all of the threads here about this model, but haven't found anything similar to this particular problem. Here is what it is doing now:

When I plug in the TV to power, I hear the...

                  Sanyo DP5834 - Gray Screen
                  by toddw65
                  Hey All,

I have a Sanyo DP5834 that did have an issue with the backlights, but I disassembled the unit and repaired the LED strips by resoldering all of the connectors. Now I've reassembled it and I have backlights and sound, but a grayish screen. I can tap on the screen and see that it's on, but no picture. All voltages seem to be correct on the power board.

Based on the LCD Flat panel TV troubleshooting guide by Bud Martin, I'm thinking the T-Con has failed because I'm getting 12v both into and out of FP1 on the T-Con. Am I on the right track?

                  Thanks,...

                  Hello Community,

Hi everyone, I replaced this motherboard because it was important to get it working, but it's been with me for a very long time. Now I finally have time to figure out what the problem is,
                  I've never encountered something like this before;
