Hi everyone, I took the back off this tv and checked voltages after failing to see any noticeable bulged caps or burnt components, All voltages out of the power supply are good so I did the bulb trick and held the bulb over all the inverter outputs. On the 3rd and 4th output starting from the top going down the bulb lit but noticeably dim and weaker than the rest. This inverter board seems hard to find so I would like to repair it at component level. Should I go ahead and replace the top transformer or is there something else I should check also? There is a what appears to be a smaller transformer?? just below the top transformer that runs between the 1st transformer and the 4th output, not sure how to check this. Where can I find replacement transformers as I would like to replace all 3 and what else should I look for?

Re: RCA 46LA45RQ 2 seconds to black
why did no one respond? what did you end up doing? i have this same tv now but it doesnt have 2 seconds to black its more like 2 minutes to black...and the backlight flickers worse and worse until it turns off. also i notice one area seems dark like a bulb is not being lit all the way... do i have inverter or bulb problems? i was able to find the inverter for less than 20$ so ill probably gamble -
Re: RCA 46LA45RQ 2 seconds to black
Inverter would be the easiest to do. If it turns out to have the same issue after changing it I would assume a bulb issue. This would require disassembling the panel to get at the bulbs.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Re: RCA 46LA45RQ 2 seconds to black
hawaiianeye, take the back cover off. In the dark, turn the set on and watch the transformers on the inverter. I bet, as the lights begin to flicker, you'll see an arc inside one of the transformers. I had the same problem as the OP. It took three or four inverters to finally solve the problem. They are junk, unfortunately.Comment

Re: RCA 46LA45RQ 2 seconds to black
I have the same inverter board and the coils are burnt in a similar manner. Last wrap on the end of the coil is gone and the plastic is deformed. I have higher resistance across that set of tabs on the output of the board. I am currently looking for a replacement board but have a ssi460_12fo1 Rev0.2 board. Not many for sale right now so I'm also looking for the coils. Anyone know where to buy the coils? I'm new to the forum so I was looking to get some sites to buy parts. ThanksComment

by repair-itI replaced the bulb only on my Toshiba DLP The bulb is a TB-25. This is the first time I've done a bulb only replacement. Supposedly there is a timer module that needs to be re-calibrated or reset. I don't know where the module is located. I see some vendors selling the bulb with the housing stating module included which leads me to think the module is located inside the enclosure the bulb mounts in, but I didn't see it. Maybe it's inside the plug attached to the bulb?
Anyway - I am seeking information on how to reset this so called module so that the lamp will operate. Apparently... -
by ezeniaHi,
I have a LUMIMAN Smart Bulb that suddenly stopped lighting one day. The bulb is still detected in the app, but won't light. I've probed around and nothing seems to look off with any of the diodes, caps or resistors. The Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module seems to be working as it's still detected in the app. I even tried deleting and re-pairing the bulb (it didn't light, but I was still able to follow the pairing instructions), it re-paired fine, but still no light.
In diode mode, the LEDs all light up when probed so I'm guessing this means the LEDs themselves are OK. I was expecting... -
by caseyjay_48I am currently on a troubleshoot of 46” Sony KDL-46BX450 tv. I came back from Washington to Texas on medical emergency and had to leave all my tools up there. All I have is a couple of screwdrivers and a dvm. I wish to ask the community a troubleshooting question. Please forgive stupid questions as meds I am taking produce brain fog.
I have well maintained Sony KDL-46BX450. It went black one day. After turn-on, I get solid green light and Sony logo in screen center for about 1-2 seconds, then black. No blinking LEDs, no hissing. Flashlight test shows screen characters dimly viewable,... -
by ohrenHello!
I'm looking at an original Xbox PSU: Foxlink ftps-0002 rev. B. The 12 V output is too low, and the 5 V output is too (?) high. Unfortunately I don't have an oscilloscope but only a DMM for diagnosis.
Measured voltages with no load:
After rectifier diodes
12V: 6.17 V
5V: 5.67 V
Secondary transformer pins AC measurement (really don't know if this says anything)
12V: 2-2.5 V
5V: 1.04 V
I also have another (working) Xbox psu from Delta. The same measures there, in order, being: 10.79,... -
by twonk9098Hi all,
I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.
I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.
I have tried a few new bios but exactly... - Loading...
