this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even... -

the battery is charged. pressing the power button the blue LED flashes 3 times and then stays blue. then the sequence repeats.
the fan does not start.
I noticed that I have no power on the processor and it does not heat up. could it depend on the bios?
any advice on what to check? -

I'm facing this issue since this morning. When I try to power it on, the CAPS lock light flashes 7 times (or 6 if not counting the first one when the power button is pressed). The charging light is always on as if the laptop was connected to the charger. The issues started gradually where it would flash the light but after trying multiple time it would power on. I tried to open it and I noticed one coil "1R0 2127" gets hot when the charger is connected. Hi everyone,
I have picked up an LG brand television, manufactured in 2014. The model is LG-49UB850V / LG-49UB850V ZD (Link).
When I tried to start it the first time it didn't work, the screen remained black and the red LED blinked 3 times or just stayed on all the time. After moving it and plugging it in somewhere else, it restarted once or twice, but since then it hasn't started with the same symptoms.
Other information:
- The physical button that turns on the TV without the remote doesn't seem to work. Nothing happens when you press it, we can only... -
Hi!! I have been given this old TV set.
When I hit the power button, the BL (as you know this is a CFL backlight) turns on, video works fine as I can see the LG logo show off, but the backlight starts going on-off for 3 times, when it gives up and turns completly off
This set has a inverter board on the top right corner. This inverter (or the tubes, I don't really know) buzzes very loudly during the second that the BL stays ON. I have posted a video, turn your volume UP!
