    Samsung Plasma Problems

I have a Samsung plasma tv and I'm having some problems with it. It's a newer tv as I bought it just over a year ago. The problem started after the power got knocked out one night. I went to turn on the tv next day and nothing happened. The screen would brighten up a little but was still completely dark. Also had the red blinking light. I figured it was the power supply so I replaced it and then got some pink in the bottom of the screen but still most of it was black. Next I decided to replace the y main and y sustain board and more of the screen was pink and actually I could make out a little bit of the smart hub screen in the lower left corner. So then I replaced the x main and x sustain broads and the picture may have changed a little but not much. Still pink at the bottom and along the left side but still most of the screen is black. And now I cannot make out anything in the smart hub screen where I could before I replaced the x boards. With all of the boards replaced I took a picture and will attach it in the bottom of this email. The fist picture is as soon as I turn the tv on and the second picture is after it's been on for a few minutes. It seems like the longer the tv is on the more and more screen turns pink. The tv model number is PN60F5500AFXZA. I'm at a loss and really don't know what else could be the problem. I was hoping someone more experienced in plasma tv's could help me out. I'm no tv tech but I am a car mechanic so I know how to use a multimeter and replace parts pretty well.

    Re: Samsung Plasma Problems

Very possible you got defective boards, you will need to take some voltage measurements VA/VS/VE/VSCN/VY as per spec on the panel sticker on the inside stuck to the back of the PDP screen.

That defiantly looks like a bad X board to me.

Lets let the voltages tell us what's going on.

Also please post photos of the entire TV boards exposed and photos of each Y/X controller board and mainboard. This will help us help you more efficiently.
