Re: Lg plasma 50t1
I think there is too much of translation barrier.
Have you read the stickies and other threads. Your picture is very little help we ask for good clear pictures of the boards - both sides and close ups of connectors and labels showing VS VA voltage Pictures off site are not acceptable they need to be posted using manage attachments and should appear as thumbnails - see my signature message. If you are unable to read the board numbers on your pictures you need to tell us what they are.
There are many many requests for help - we tend to answer the ones that provide pictures and information first. I know very little about plasma tvs so I will not be much help. You need to check the power supply board is functioning first.Last edited by selldoor; 01-22-2015, 01:42 PM.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Lg plasma 50t1
I have a LG 50PJ550 which is an identical match to this set!! The symptoms I had, were the click click but tv wouldnt turn on. Suspected power supply the 2 power resistors on the PS board (R927, and R929) had ZERO resistance when measured. I ordered the kit off ebay for $15 for this set. after swapping the components out it was show time.
Before I plugged everything back in I had both upper and lower Y sus. buffers disconnected. Tv fired up (but with no pic because no buffers) Both lights on logic and main board were blinking. I "THOUGHT" I had it made as it finally showed signs of life without the repeated relay click!! so I powered down the tv, unplugged it and reattached the buffer boards. This time when I fired it up (buffers now attached) It took all of 3 seconds for it to shut itself right down relay started click click again and SNAP!! took out the Z-sustain surface mounted fuse with it!! Now the tv will only remained powered up if the Y-sustain board is unplugged. If i plug the Y-sus harness back in the tv just goes into shut down and replays click click
Lesson learned. what I THINK has happened, looking back on it. It had a bad buffer to begin with (obviously as set ran fine until i plugged in the buffers) The biggest problem with this model, in my opinion, is LG has set this thing up to fail!! Most boards in most sets will get their power exclusively from the power supply board. In this model......the Z sustain will get its power from the Y sustain board. Almost like a ripple effect. One thing in the chain shorts and you run the risk of all of them being effected (Y buffers, Y sust, Z sust)
I hunted down a replacement Y,buffers and Z. should arrive next week, see how this one plays out. But I gotta warn ya......the Y board (for some reason) is fetching more then the set is worth $$$$$ I got real lucky as tvpartsguy out of california had 1 left and got it for under $50. But ebay prices are just stupid for this board!! Buffers and Z sust are cheap
If you replaced your Y and still no picture?? chances are your old Y may have been ok??
I think the next logical place for you to look is buffers??Last edited by sugar_ray; 01-22-2015, 02:50 PM.Comment

Re: Lg plasma 50t1
OK so you are now saying you know you have a faulty ysus and want to know what might be wrong so you can repair it? Right.
Other than checking fuses I dont think many people repair these. The ICs are quite expensive and I believe are difficult to remove. Most people just change the board.
Maybe worth checking the connectors the ribbons plug into. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

by CoinCoin88Hello everyone,
I'm turning to the Badcaps community to help me troubleshoot the radio Rx card from my (old) garage door opener. While I could just ditch that card and replace the whole system, I first would like to understand "why" it suddenly stopped working, because that's just how I am wired...!
Some basics: the receiver works on a 30.875 Mhz frequency. Yes, I'm aware this is not in use anymore in a looot of places. It does not use any rolling code, it's just a regular dip-switch code that you have to set up on both the receiver and transmitter. The receiver... -
by PlasMattI have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems. The same thing happened today so I checked logs to see if something in the control glitched and sent an off command but it didn't, After...

by Salvatore057Hi all,
I am trying to fix my plasma TV which is not powering on due to damaged IGBTs. I have changed two igbts and 2 IC drivers on the zsus and also two igbts on the ysus.
Now everytime I plugged the ZSUS and the YSUS boards to the power board, the two 30f124 IGBT on the ZSUS are damaged and the TV stays in standby mode. When I plug the ZSUS board alone the TV turns ON but I do not see pictures. When I plug the ZSUS board without the two 30f124 IGBTs and the YSUS board, the TV powers on with a picture.
I am lost, should I change the YSUS board? Is the YSUS board damaging... -
by jm1234Hi, I'm seeing one 9V relay having temperature 40C on its 9V (primary) side. Does that seem right? I switched 2 relays on that board and the temperature was the same (on the same position), so I'm sure it's not a faulty relay. I measured voltage on that relay and it was 9.5V DC, so that looks good. I don't see any other relay on that board having that kind of temperature and they have 9V on them too.
I thought maybe the transistor that is switching this relay keeps switching on/off, so I also checked for AC and there was almost none: 0.3V using mV range. No steady frequency was shown, but... -
by edugimenoHi everyone!
I have this board that suddenly stopped supplying power to an output that drives an interchanger cleaner motor.
I checked while the board was in place with all wires attached and there's no AC voltage on the corresponding plug X5
This X5 is driven by fuse F8 (tested OK) which comes from the second orange relay
To make sure there are no charcoaled contacts inside the relay, I got a 24VDC power supply and got it ready to manually power up the coil side of these relays.
I respected the polarity, positive to cathode of protecting diode
So provided all... - Loading...
