Where did you get your main board from?
Was it the control board or the main board that was the real culprit?

I have an LG 50PK750 that after a brief (1 second) power outage while it was running, decided to start turning itself off after about 10 minutes. If you try powering it back up it just turns on the power light but after about 10 seconds shuts off. If you wait about 30 minutes and power it up again it runs fine for about 10 minutes and then shuts off.

We tested the power board and it looks like a diode by the voltage regulator is bad and we we re-soldered several points on the board that looked like they had minor cracks in them. Have not ordered a new diode yet and figured we would order a voltage regulator as well to be safe.

    Any suggestions for this issue?

Nooooooo! I also mentioned bar code label - your new board is off a 42 inch set

Yea, the board numbers are identical..

I do get the static sound, but haven't hooked it to a source yet..

    Got the replacement board in..

As the saying goes, there is good news and bad news...

The GOOD news, it appears to fix the problem. The TV now comes on. I hear the static sound of an unconnected analog channel..

The BAD news is, I did not heed Selldoor's advice as well as I should have... The boards are NOT 100% identical..

The lower board is the old one. It has the tab style connector that goes to the Video...

The upper board is the new one. It has the plug in connector.

But it does show that the Main Board was the issue.

Unless anyone knows of some kind of adapter, I have an AOYUE 968. I am going to use that to pull the proper connector off the old board and place it on the new board..

Needless to say, it's going to be delicate...

No thats not right either AND you are doing the test wrong
How to test a voltage regulator

Testing a voltage regulator requires a digital multimeter. The test is simple and easy to perform. Note: Voltage regulators are typically "low" voltage. Most are 5V DC or less so there is little danger of you getting shocked, but as always, exercise caution when measuring power.

To test a voltage regulator (circled in red),

    1) Set your multimeter (if manual range) to 20V DC or DCV for autoranging.

    2) Put your black probe on a ground screw (circled in black). Leave it there the entire time. This is your ground.

    3) Put your red probe on each of the pins including any "cut" or "stub" pin, but ignore the "fat" tab. The fat tab is "up" or "north". Number the pins left to right.

    4) Report them like below along with the part number (include all lines on the IC) of the IC. Don't report "they all tested good". About once every 2 weeks, we get someone who reports that only to find out they did the arithmetic wrong or mis-interpreted the results. So report all the readings.

    U100 -> pcb designation
    AS1117-33 -> line 1 of the IC
    0506 -> line 2 of the IC
    pin 1 = 0.000
    pin 2 = 3.301
    pin 3 = 5.001

Panasonic TH-50PX8EA Black screen, only relay clicks
    by Rensiee
    Hello,
I have been reading a few threads on here regarding Panasonic plasma tv's. I've found one thread which explains the same problem as mine, unfortunately the thread has not been completed.
I got a free tv (TH-50PX8EA) from a friend which shows no screen. When plugged in only one red light shows up and when pushing the ON button, the red LED turns of and will only turn on again when pressing the ON button again.

When plugging in the TV i hear two relays click fast and after a few seconds the third relay clicks.
I have measured the voltage in the VSUS line, which...

Samsung LN46b530p7f – relay clicks and backlight cycling, sound OK
    by momaka
I got this TV a little over a year ago from a coworker from my previous job. It’s a Samsung 46” TV, model number LN46b530p7f.

    Problem:
    Backlight cycles On and Off.
Basically, when the TV is turned On, there is a relay click heard from the TV PS board. The relay cycles On and Off 4 times in about 2-3 second intervals. Each of those 4 times, the backlights also cycle On and Off with the relay. The screen TFT isn’t cracked/damaged and appears to work - I can see a “no signal” image when the backlights turn On briefly – though the image is a bit dull/dark....

    toshiba 46xv555d relay clicks
    by samtron786
    Hello
The red and green LEDs both light up and you can hear the relay click. (no picture, no backlight, no sound)
2-3 seconds later the relay will click again and only the red LED will stay on.

I would be very grateful for any advice or a little help.
    circuit diagram?

    Thanks very much

    9V relay temperature 40C
    by jm1234
Hi, I'm seeing one 9V relay having temperature 40C on its 9V (primary) side. Does that seem right? I switched 2 relays on that board and the temperature was the same (on the same position), so I'm sure it's not a faulty relay. I measured voltage on that relay and it was 9.5V DC, so that looks good. I don't see any other relay on that board having that kind of temperature and they have 9V on them too.
I thought maybe the transistor that is switching this relay keeps switching on/off, so I also checked for AC and there was almost none: 0.3V using mV range. No steady frequency was shown, but...

Biomass Boiler not driving cleaner motor relay. ENERTRES BIOMASA BI-650
    by edugimeno
    Hi everyone!
I have this board that suddenly stopped supplying power to an output that drives an interchanger cleaner motor.
I checked while the board was in place with all wires attached and there's no AC voltage on the corresponding plug X5
This X5 is driven by fuse F8 (tested OK) which comes from the second orange relay
To make sure there are no charcoaled contacts inside the relay, I got a 24VDC power supply and got it ready to manually power up the coil side of these relays.
I respected the polarity, positive to cathode of protecting diode
    So provided all...
