    Phillips 47pfl3603d/f7 capacitors or PSU?

So I got this TV for free, was told it wouldn't turn on. Guy thought it was a power supply issue. Get home plug it in and it comes rite on. Check the back of it and notice there's a melted spot on the plastic. Opened it up and saw one of the capacitors on the power board was bulged so bad the plastic split open. Replaced the 2 samwha 450v 150uf caps, turn it on and theres a wavy ripple looking area across the top of the screen thats slightly darker then the rest.

So any recommendations on what would be causing this? And would a dry cap get that hot? Or should I be worried another issue caused the cap to melt?

    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

After updating motherboard capacitors, what to do next (Asrock K7VT2, SOLTEK SL-75FRN2L)
    by dragon3x
Hi, I have some 32 bits computer motherboards that need repair, as they fail to
    power on.

    Here are some examples :

(N.B. "capacitors" indicated here are electrolytic capacitors located in the onboard
    switching supply area).
    (N.B. #2 : I could not find a 3300 microF aluminum-polymer with a higher voltage
    than 6.3 V.)

1 - Motherboard #1 : this is an Asrock K7VT2 (socket A) that still works well. To put it on test
    I replaced capacitors with aluminum-polymer.
    3300 microF/6.3 V. x 4 replaced by 3300 microF/6.3 V. (KYOCERA...

Led status indicator light transfer plastic
    by Kemer
Hello, the LED status indicators on my Lenovo Z580 are not working. Actually the motherboard LEDs are working but the light doesn''t coming to the front view. The plastic part is which you can see in photo must transfer the light to the frontview but just half of the plastic is illuminating.

There are three status indicators on the front (power, battery, caps lock), and none of them are illuminated.

The plastic piece doesn't appear to be broken.

    1. What are your suggestions for resolving this issue?

    2. Is the plastic piece made of special ma...

    it has inside:
    2 x 47uf 16v caps 105c branded as Su'scon (lol sounds sus to me)
    2 x 470uf 16v LZ105c branded as G.Luxon

not heard of these brands are they any good?

iv attached photos of the charger and the board inside for an idea on the type of...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
    by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

    After all of...
