Samsung LN46D630M3FXZA has backlight and sound no video

Thought maybe this would be an easy one. After looking at the T-Con I saw the fuse was good and had 12V, checking various components I saw QD2 was shorted and remembered I had seen this before, it's the same model but in a 40":

That one had a bad panel. Now I'm thinking this one has one too. Is that common that the 40" and 46" panels would have similar failures?
