Hey all, so I need some advice. The other day when I turned on the 50" LG in my living room, I noticed that there was a bar at the top of the screen that was brighter than the rest across all inputs. At first I thought it might have been some kind of burn in, but upon further inspection I found that the bar on top was actually the correct color and brightness, and that the bottom 4/5ths of the screen was darker than it should have been. I tried using the built-in Picture Wizard function, but it didn't help. Looking closely again, I saw that the picture isn't actually darker, but that every second line of pixels was just a black line, making the picture look dark. It's kind of hard to describe, so here is a picture of how it looks and here is a closeup of the upper left where it transitions from alternating black and colored lines to normal.
In the research I've done so far, I found a response on justanswer that seems to be just about what I am talking about, but there it mentions that the y buffer board is divided in thirds, and mine seems to be more than just 2/3rds of the screen. Just wanted to confirm with one of you guys before I order a new board. Thanks in advance for your help.
