Well that DS805 (1N4937) is the snubber Diode for the Relay REL801, it is connected in parallel with the relay coil (Omron G5RL 5vdc COIL, about 62 Ohm DCR) that is why it show conduction in both direction, that is why I ask you to take the RESISTANCE reading of the Diode, not in the Diode mode, I get some idea what the resistance is.
When you check semiconductor for shorts, leakage resistance, you use Ohm mode because when semiconductor shorted out it will no longer act as semiconductor.
you can use 1N 4007 in its place. You can verify by check the resistance of the two copper pads where the diode's legs are connected to and see what resistance you get.
BTW, if the power supply is bad it will affect not just the pictures but also other circuits as well.

It is not mega pixel, it is the lights and the MACRO, and tripod or very steady hands, I use my over 10 years old SONY with good MACRO mode and <2M pixel.

That model tv is known for bad panels. I would change the caps,and diodes to see if any thing changes.

Thanks splitcrete, I wonder if another power diode about that same size, off an old pc power supply would work?

theres numbers on the tiny diode, I couldnt match them up on digikey, pretty sure its a power/rectifier diode, black with the grey band, numbers on it are v8180, n493, gp, Thanks for helping, not getting too far with this one.

Check caps cm 807,808,809,811,812,817,cs806

Check diodes ds801,802,803
You just may find a couple of them bad.

hi splitcrete, I dont have an esr meter to check caps, checked diodes,801,2,3, checked ok in cir., 804 was .344, 805 was .058 in both directions, tried to take it out to measure out of cir. but it broke, or is there a way to measure caps with the mm.

got bad reading from diode ds805 read in board .058 in both directions, tried to take it out to read it but broke it, no solder skillz at all lol, also diode ds804 read .344 is that too low?, hard to read numbers on tiny diode , looks like GP v8180 n493 or n498?, does that sound like a familiar diode, I messed up label a bit getting it out, Thanks.

its this diode, wanted to check it out of circ. but I broke it taking it out, its tiny, I believe its a power/rectifier diode, thanks for reply budm.

They were talking about the caps on the power supply board.
I never seen this symptom like this before.

What do get using Ohm mode to check the Diode?
Location of that Diode?"
