Hallo to all specialists!
I read that when the led is blinking at a vestel chassis
it could be the PSU or a software problem!
Generally there a lot of memories on the mainboard: there are in some stores
preprogrammed EPROMS for example used in samsung: in other you can flash it
over usb!there is a operating software and where the personal usersdata is stored like volume colour etc.So my Question is where can you get the vestel
software and the prozedure to stop led flashing so that you must not change
the whole mainboard if there is only a softwareproblem!

Depends on What Model Mainboard.....??

Some are done by USB, while others haven't got a USB.....

Vestel really ARE CRAP, unfortunately. There appears to be many different F/W that are used on what appears--the same M.B.
--Like the flashing standby-light can be caused by the PSU. Had just this an hour ago, Original PSU has odd fault so changed it.

17PW25.3 is original--and the set works (For a while).

17PW25.4 (only '25' one I can find at the mo, as its gone dark and no power in stores) presents the flashing standby light symptom, although this PSU is known to be good....

Alastair worth noting that not all 17PW25-4s are interchangeable - there's a little jumper on the bottom that'll short the 5V and 3.3V supplies... This usually causes no harm but set will just blink the LED. (Removing the jumper fixes this fault)

To the OP, it's possible to update the firmware on these but you do require original firmware files. You put them on a blank FAT32 USB stick and hold "OK" on the remote while plugging it in.

EPROM and the newer onces you can flash over USB

When fitting a vestel psu board 17pw26-4 v.1 100409 , white sticker says 20453122 . Bush 40'' tv model number lcd40883f1080p.
Does the sticker number have to be the same ? also can i use 17pw26-4 v.2 or v3 etc ?
