    are these bad?

Sorry if I sound silly, or if my question does. I think that they do.

So what are we looking at? Looking like Samsung board, pretty hard to tell visually if good or not. Don't look domed but still can be bad. Strange how the plastic cover has been cut and removed.

I am not sure what the board is called: but it is the board that feeds the screen controller board on my philips plasma 42pf532d. It is a Samsung board. Most of the caps say "Made in USA".

There are numerous domed caps on the board out of frame.

I had never seen a capacitor with the "turkey's done!" profile before.

      Just curious is all.

BTW, while my question is pretty generic, this board has helped me fix (or ID the problem and parts are enroute) my other broken TV as well as source quality parts.

The board pictured will cost more to repair than replace.

They look like SAMWA caps typically used in SAMSUNG, bad cap can look normal.

If the cap runs hot, the label can shrink down the cap.

Not being a Samsung expert, but Samwha caps are known to blow out and bulge on the PSUs mainly 1000uf,2200uf caps and can cause the TVs to cycle / click.

But I think what you have there is the Ymain board.

I had a bad cap on that same board cause no picture. 20 minutes warm up later and sparkly picture appeared, after 1 hour it worked ok.

yes! the image pictured is my board.

No picture no matter how long it sat. Power cycling ''sometimes'' worked.
