help with Sony KDL-40ZXL
hi there guys i have been given a Sony KDL-40ZXL 42" LED TV which has a figure 8 power plug and 1 HDMI input that says HDMI monitor beside it... now when i switch tv on it says problem connecting to wireless and i think there should be a wireless box but my question is, is there any way to connect a source to HDMI without this wireless box using just the HDMI connection thats already built onto the tv ?

thanks tom... when i switch on tv it just displays unable to connect to wireless reciever please refer to owners manual (001)..... there is buttons on the tv but when pressed the green light flickers so i know the tv is recieving the command but doesnt switch channel or nothing else is diaplyed, only thing i can get up is when i turn volume up and downComment

Last week our home was hit hard by lightning, so much so that 4 transformers on our street were blown out.
Items lost....DirecTV box, Cable TV box and initially Sony 55"....all inputs hooked up via HDMI. We have since purchased new set but wanted to at least try and see if this TV can be fixed.
Initially while T/S, found all inputs fine except T-Con_ON = 0VDC
but front panel had 3 red blinks. Yesterday took Pwr Supply and Main Board out to check for any noticeable failures. Coincident or not, after replacing both boards the TV started working fine... -
I have problem with my AVR(Marantz SR4003) HDMI board issue. I connect to my TV but screen color distorted,see attached picture.
Connection as below:
Set-top box HDMI output >AVR 3 HDMI input/one HDMI output>HDTV HDMI port
If I bypassed AVR then HDTV screen color be good.
I take out HDMI board from AVR and check services manual the schematic shown the HDMI signals path:
3 HDMI input port > SIL9185 chip(HDMI switch) > SIL9033 chip(HDMI receiver) > SIL9030 chip(HDMI transmitter) > HDMI output port

A Sony PS4 came in for "No Video" and it seems there is a component Missing, near the HDMI Port.
The Component circled in Red
1. Was this just a Component Missing from Manufacture please?
2. It is a straight forward Port Replacement, or do I need to be aware of anything else?
3. Any Schematics or Board Views available?
Any Advice is greatly appreciated.

Buenas mi nombre es carlos me uni al foro porque estoy buscando el schematic de una sony vaio pcg-41217u otras formas de escribirlo son 1p-0117j01-a012 mbx-237 numero de placa revision 1.2 o Sony VPCSB (MBX-237), en fin me gustaria y ayudaria un monton si alguien me puede dar dichi svhematic para hacer las mediciones de una laptop de la mencionada anteriormente(Sony VAIO PCG-41217U) con el fin de repararla dejo de funcionar solo prende el led de la bateria al pulsar el boton de power el disco empiesa a hacer ruido de actividad pero los leds del frontas no reflejan acividad y no enciende la pantalla.... -
