Sony KDL 55HX800 Lightning-HDMI's bad

Hello,
Last week our home was hit hard by lightning, so much so that 4 transformers on our street were blown out.
Items lost....DirecTV box, Cable TV box and initially Sony 55"....all inputs hooked up via HDMI. We have since purchased new set but wanted to at least try and see if this TV can be fixed.

Initially while T/S, found all inputs fine except T-Con_ON = 0VDC
but front panel had 3 red blinks. Yesterday took Pwr Supply and Main Board out to check for any noticeable failures. Coincident or not, after replacing both boards the TV started working fine but only when hooked up to Cable TV or RCA inputs. All HDMI inputs bad.

Voltages when ON....
1 STBY 3.3V = 3.3
2 AC_OFF_DET = 3.3
3 PWR ON = 3.27
4 Audio12V = 12.68
5 GND
6 GND
7 GND
8 REG12v = 12.68
9 REG12v = 12.68
10 T-CON.VCC.12V =12.68
11 T-CON_ON = 3.33

Is it indeed possible by removing/replacing CCA's that it caused things to be flushed and all is well....excluding HDMI inputs that don't work.

If I can find a Main Board for this 10 year old TV, is there an update I'll have to apply to TV ?

Main Board P/N 1-881-636-62....SHOPJIMMY says Out of Stock.

Any comments/suggestions welcomed

Yep, pretty much a given as I stated above but still debating getting a new Main Board !

don't call it new main boards LOL. and why you need to repair it if you bought it as defect.
your lands are knowing by lighting and the chance to find MB with out such defect are low.

Have no clue what you're talking about. I bought nothing that was a "defect". The Main board on the subject TV got hit by lightning and trashed the HDMI inputs. We have since bought new TV but want to try and fix bad TV to use upstairs. Perhaps your simply misunderstanding the problem or simply not reading what whole problem is.

could be it fried your hdmi chip, new chip might work or new mainboard.

you wrote replacing. or you just put them back again... !

well Lighting always its damage the main Soc or Tuner.. qt your case i would think its BGA on the Soc related to HDMI. sony had diagnose service menu.. try to call it to see if there any error register at it.

you can also go with a vga to hdmi converter, will plug into vga input on tv where you would connect a computer to tv, if your vga still works. then put source on vga/pc and the hdmi device will work. probably would need to work out the sound tho, pretty sure vga doesnt carry sound like hdmi does.

Thanks....the board number matches but the part # A1754478A is different from mine on the last digit....A1754478B
Is there a way to find out if the boards are in actuality the same ?

Received a Main Board replacement purchased from Davids TV repair in Houston TX.
After installing, rcvd green and amber blinking lights which supposedly denotes needing firmware update. Sony terminated my model updates Jan this year. TV repair guy thru his contacts is sending me Firmware update via USB. Will update further after applying update.

Applied firmware and after about 3rd try with lights still blinking green/amber, took a few minute break. On return, the update was surprisingly showing complete and all HDMI inputs now working.
