    Panasonic TX-P50XT50Y hard to start

    Hi all.
This plasma, Panasonic TX-P50XT50Y does not succeed to start-up standby supply very often.
If I pull the plug and let the PFC electrolyte drain all the way to zero, then the standby supply will have the most chance of re-starting.
    But not always.
My "feeling" says there could be a service bulletin for this. May be a design fault.
    Any help is appreciated!

    if you searched tc-p50xt50.

maybe you could improve this and add all the models in your region in a reply in the thread, that way if someone does a model search they'll find it. That was my intent listing the models in there now.

If that fixes it, can you also reply so we know if that works, thanks

Panasonic TC-P60S30 - no standby voltage
      by BobbyMJ
      Hi All,
Wanting to learn some electronics repair skills.
I found a non working Panasonic TC-P60S30 and this is my first project / attempt.

So far I have found a blown cap on the main power supply board.
After replacing it there's still no standby power.

Poked around and found a resistor on the PSUB power supply board that measures open.

An online resistor calculator shows this is a 93k ohm resister.

      My questions:

      Is that correct, 93k ohms?
      Is it a fusible resistor?
Lastly, how do I know what wattage?...

Panasonic SA-PM71SD Micro HiFi - not comming out of standby
      by Nevillet
      Hi All,

I have the above mini HiFi that after powering displays the standby LED and when the power switch is pressed the relay momentarily clicks in then cuts out again.

I've included an image of the power board schematic.

There is 5.9V present on pin 4 of CN507 and when the standby button is pressed 2.6V momentarily appears on pin2 of the same connector.

      Any thoughts would be welcome.

**Need Help Unlocking BIOS and Hard Drive on Dell Precision 5820 Tower**
      by federalhouse
      Hi everyone,

I'm in need of assistance with a Dell Precision 5820 Tower. The BIOS is locked with "Dell Security Manager," preventing access to the HDD-1 hard drive.

      **Background:**

I recently purchased this Dell Precision 5820 Tower from a recycler who salvages equipment from abandoned office spaces. The computer was left behind by its previous owner and was password locked. Given that it can run Windows 11, I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade my setup.

      **What I've Tried So Far:**

Panasonic TH-55FX600 - No standby LED
      by Xrious
Got a TH-55FX600 that is showing no signs of life.

Outputs from the P board look good, but no 12V on the A board.

Very similar to https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...3e-identidy-ic but where Tibd has 3.3v on the EN pin I have nothing, no voltage at all.

Looking at the diagram for the IC I can see the enable is W_OPCTRL9, but I can't find a source for this, can anyone help please?

Panasonic Toughbook HDDs with hard drive encryption - how to reuse them?
      by jasakl
      Dear community,

i have searched the internet but i dont found a working solution for my problem:
I have about 150 hard drives (mostely from hitachi 160gb HTS543216L9SA00) from Pansasonic CF-19 MK3 Notebooks.
All devices had a BIOS Password and HDD encryption enabled.

Now i try to reuse the HDDs, but i cant format them. I already tried windows Diskpart with argument "attributes disk clear readonly" but it says "cant delete" and i tryed several partition and low level formatters (like partition wizard, AOMEI and Easus).
      But all of...
