    zenith z50pj240 pixel storm

I have a plasma tv with a pixel storm issue. The PSU, ysus, and zsus boards it are all new. I would take a picture but it doesn't show up well enough to do any good. There is an led light blinking on the control board in a specific rhythm (fault code?). The pixels are on the top and bottom half of the screen. I'm thinking possibly a logic board problem or both buffers? It does this on all the hdmi inputs. I haven't tried the other inputs.

I am having an image retention problem with this television. I read in a thread on this site that image retention can be caused by the z sustain board. The fuse is good on the board. I was wondering if there is a common failure point on these boards that I could be pointed to. All the caps look good with no bulging or leaking. Thanks for any help.

When I go to adjust the brightness of the screen nothing happens. I can turn the brightness all the way up or down and it does nothing to the image.

Can't play vid here, "This video is private".

Check your Vbias voltage against what is printed on the panel sticker. And when you say these boards are new do you mean "new to you" ?

The psu came from shopjimmy, the other boards came from ebay or amazon so yes "new to me" is more appropriate. I made the video public. That was the first video I have every uploaded to youtube so I'm not really familiar with it. The Vbias is set to panel specs, as well as the Vs and Va and Vsus values.

Ok not buffers or logic board I think. tom66 is your guy but I would say you still have a fault on your y or z sustain board or possibly the y needs adjusting.

The problem was somewhere in the Y sustain board. Replaced the y sustain and everything is crystal clear.
