Re: Samsung LN-T3242H black screen failure - flicker or DOA

I am a little embarrassed to ask this, but I don't want to force and break anything. How do I get the inverter board off? I see three small screws that appear to hold the matrix of black plastic 'connectors' (the ends of the florescent light tubes, I assume). Do the screws need to come out to remove the inverter board? Or does the board slide out from the twelve black 'connectors'? Something else?

No idea, sorry. I would guess you'd take the 3 screws out and pull the board off, but who knows?

I found the service manual on Elektrotanya but it doesn't seem to consider the inverter as separate from the panel. I'm sure someone else can tell you though.

As a point of clarification, there are six screws total. Three screws come off with the cover to the inverter board. These screws hold both the board and cover on. The second set of three screws appears to hold only the ends of the light tubes and not the board. I have the first set of three screws off and it appears that the inverter board should slide away from the light tube connections (twelve black plastic square protrusions). However, applying a nominal force does not appear to move the board. I want to know if there is another holding mechanism besides the three screws that I already removed. For example, do the black plastic protuberances 'unlatch' in some way to release the inverter board?

Thanks to a helpful eBayer who sells TV parts, who confirmed that the board simply slides out after the first three screws are removed, I replaced my board with a good one from a damaged but working TV. I will now rebuild the original (replace the caps) and have a spare for when the 'new' board goes bad.

Thanks to all on this site for the original feedback that got me started on solving the problem.

            Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
            by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

            by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Samsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
            Please help. Thanks in advance!

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen
            by Kiberge
            HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
            by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...
