    Hello,
I have three years old samsung 43" plasma tv that was connected to my security system using RCA.
One day, I turn on the tv and it is showing like the picture I attached.
So far, I did factory reset, upgraded newest firmware. Nothing fixed.
I need help fixing my tv. I really appreciate for your help.

I would guess CTRL board needs replacing.

Best to get the part number off the board itself. It's the small PCB in the lower middle of the screen below the power supply, will have ribbon cables connecting to the Y main (left side looking from the back) and the lower buffer boards, and one connecting to the main board (the one with the inputs on).

It's a guess but it looks like a classic CTRL board type failure.

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
          by mrsith
          Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...

          Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
          by TrueSword88
          Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

          Hoping to fix...

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm
          by cubytus
          Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...
