problem with 42 inch samsung lcd

Hi guys trying to repair a 42 inch Samsung 42" LCD TV. I opened the tv and there was 2 1000uf 16v caps bulging so replaced them. I then plugged tv in with no standby light so checked fuses. Both the fuse in the plug and the fuse on the PSU had blown already. I replaced the fuse in the plug and put a new quick blow 6.3 amp fuse on the PSU. As soon as tv was plugged in the fuse on the psu popped. Was i right to replace with quick blow ?

More likely that there is shorted circuits on the board. What is the P/N of the power supply/BN44-XXXXX? Model number of the TV?

BN4-00134A, see the diagram attached. Can you read schematic?

No not sure about reading schematic. Is it anything particular that could be causing the fault meaning is it common ?

Check those components for really Ohm readings, also see if the other fuse is also blown.

i was looking closely on the board and noticed that NT801 is burnt out on the board.. could this be the cause of the problem ? and if so what exactly is NT801. just looks like a little disc inside plastic coating on 2 legs.

NT801 is a thermistor (in rush current limiter) prevents large currents from flowing when the TV is first turned on, since this is blown as well as the fuses you will need to check components on the circuit board for shorts, I suggest that you post clear pictures of all the boards in the TV, this is a starting point to get people to help you.

Samsung UE46ES8000 Blown fuse but no other signs of short
                        by jesterace
Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I have this Samsung UE46ES8000 TV and it went bang during use. The main fuse on the PSU board is open. I've checked every diode/mosfet/transistor I can see and nothing appears to be short to cause the fuse to go. The DC output of the bridge rectifier is not short either. I've seen online that some of these models are known for having their PFC mosfet or other mosfets shorting and blowing the fuse but i'm not seeing that here. If anyone aware of these models having any issues to cause this? I'm reluctant to just replace the...

                        Samsung UN55JU650DF network/streaming problem
                        by howardc64
Fixed a 9 year old UN55JU650 by replacing backlight. Original backlight LED was still working after 27k! hours but terrible picture of course. Few LEDs were out, 5-6 lens fell off (bright white spots) and another few popped off with slightest force. Surviving LEDs were all slightly blue so picture has a blue tint.

This TV runs older Tizen OS (updated to latest version, see pic) and have problems with network (wifi or ethernet) connection. The Tizen UI frequently switch to coax input source while changing content sources. . If no good signal (coax not connected, no prior antenna/cable...

                        by ChristianBr01
                        Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

                        Bestec ATX0300F5WA - fast,or slow blow, fuse?
                        by socketa
I bought a dead motherboard, and connected it to this PSU,
Was checking the standby voltages on the motherboard, and, whilst doing so, the PSU made a loud bang with a flash of light.
So now i truly got a bang for my bucks, and something else to try and fix.
The fuse was blowen, and the top was blowen off of a TNY276PN chip
The glass fuse didn't have any marking to say if it was fast or slow blow
So i checked the marking on the PCB thinking that that would tell me,
but it 's got a T/F8A printed on the board
So should i get a fast blow fuse, or should...
