    samsung plazma cycling power

1I have a Samsung pn50a550s1fxza. That has the power board bn44-00222a

My Tv takes about 15-30 minutes to turn on in the morning now. It will cycle on and off on its own when attempting to start sometimes when it tries to start and if the screen does come up the first couple times it has thin snowy multicolored lines throughout the screen followed by a loud high pitched squeal out of the speakers and eventually automatically shuts off.. When it does start it will stay on until I shut it off. I can leave it all day and it wont shut off. I have read that caps may be an issue. I took a look and all of mine look fine. none are bulging or leaking anyway...

This is a common main board problem. You have to replace one small smd ceramic cap on e back of the main board, I think it's c101 or c102. Not sure exactly. You can find it if you search the threads.

Thank you very much for the help. I did check the threads and found a couple threads but none that were resolved... guess I'll figure it out someday

Worth going over that PSU for dry-joints, a couple look a bit iffy around the Vs supply IGBT's bit difficult to see in those pics....

More likely though is that SM Cap as has been suggested....
