I am not sure, you could try to replace either the t-con or mainboard (t-con being the cheapest part) and see.

Its a crapshoot but if you want to save it, might be worth a shot?

Don't think it's the T-CON Bd. Take closer look at the TUNER pins on the Main Bd and see if any need re-flow or perhaps shorting on each other. If not the TUNER may be defective and might be replaceable, if available.

if u can get a mainboard for cheap u could risk it...sell the board back if it turns out to be bad panel. sell all the boards if it turns out to be bad panel. win either way, if u ask me

If this was my set i would not hesitate to call it a bad main board - if the screen defects only occur on some inputs, then the panel should be ok.

I have had a TV before (similar age to yours) that had a bad main board and would show funny defects on AV input only...

Got some updates.

By the way how can I remove the tuner?

Well I got a used mainboard , appears to have some years, but was sold to me as working and with return if it doesnt solves my problem.
Recieved it today and made the swap.
Plugged the TV, the red light blinks 4 times, makes a beep, screen appears to power up and blinks another time. Then red light turns off and I can see nothing on screen. Doesnt respond to any inputs.
The MB has the same reference and appears to be the same.


I've put back the original main, and wat I noticed is that with this one the set turns the red light but doesnt try to power up without I pressing power.
With the one I bought, the set tries to turn on right away when I plug her, with the symptoms I described.
In the last photo we can see a chip that says 50hz ... this set is 100hz.
And there's 1 HMDI missing on this new one...

Different main boards... probably one for an "A556" model so it would not work in your set.

As Tom has said, Main boards are different - Above the HDMI ports you have a string of Fets which are different between the bards (and obviously the difference in HDMI ports)....


I would still suggest this is a Main board issue but make sure you get one which is the same p/n.

Just wanted to saying that the Samsung tv 40inch i picked up had issue with screen that was random like that it turn out to be the BN94-01442A.

From my understanding its like a video card for the tv. Its a worth checking because some of those pictures you post i seen on my tv was doing to.
But i didn't take any of those picture's only the one acting up in my post. I figured away out to fix my issue with the screen.

I've been getting feedback for the culprit being the main board, and I am looking for one to try to get the problem gone.
Since that board could also be the culprit, but as far as I can see, almost everyone points the main as possible culprit.

Gonna try to find a main, without forgeting that that board could also be responsible.

Well what I did was take a screw driver tape the end and pushed around on the board's not on components until the screen cleared up that way i was not guessing on what board is was.

BN94-01741 the last letter is usually a revision number so shouldnt matter too much...

Ok, so I have a Main board on Ebay at a resonable price and hit has the same reference, but it's from a 40' model.
Here's a picture.

Will this work on my set?

If 40" has Samsung, and 37" has AUO, no it won't work I'm afraid.

So I thought any board with that reference would fit and work.
But that doesnt seem linear seeing your feedback.

What reference of mainboard should I get to be sure to work on my set?
I wanna buy one but the RIGHT one

look on your panel and TCON to see if it says AUO on it, that is a common brand of panel

It's a T3700HW02 V6 ctrl bd.
AUO right?

So what main should I get? Only those with the same reference BN94-01741H?

UPDATE!

Well, since Motherboard is the most expensive part to replace, and as someone said, there is also a small chance that that 100hz board could be bad.

Got one for 25$ , same model, photo attached.
Well, thought I would start from this board, if it works ok, if it doesnt, I'll sell it and buy a mainboard with more confidence.

Well, swapped boards, confirm they were the same , except this one came without shielding.

Turn on the set and ... set blinked a few times ... turned on backlight...no image and no menu ... black screen...weird wistling sound that I never heard before...set blinked a lot of times...turned off...turned on again with same behavior...

Well, I was ready to see the set with same issues ...but this is weird!

I allready sent an email with photos explaining this to the seller.
Let's see.

What do you guys think?

well clearly if your previous motherboard at least produced a picture, and this replacement cant even do that, then you have been sold a defective motherboard, or it was damaged in travel or (hope not) while you were installing it...
