ok replaced the psu tv now working but if i put it into standby then when i try and press the power on the remote nothing it just flashes once with a red led,but if i keep my finger on the remote the standby light goes to green with about 10-12 green flashes then turns on fine ?
any ideas or is this normal for panasonic remotes to work ?

That's normal, if you just press power button on remote it won't turn it on, you have to hold it for 2-3 seconds.

Basically every Panasonic TV I have fixed does this. Some of the older ones also require it to turn off. I guess it's to reduce the chance of accidental button presses.

Are you putting the TV into standy with remote then trying to turn it back on straight away?

If so that's normal, give the A board a chance to reset.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but can I ask where you ordered your replacement power supply from? Mine has failed and I'm not sure where to get one from.
