    LG42PX4RV-2A no 5v stb

    hi all
today I received from a friend TV does not turn on.
i chack it and I checked and found that the improper component a6151 i replace it .
i chack with esr meter and find that c122 and c123 with high esr i replace them with new one .

now i get 5vstb but whan i plug the video board the 5vstb becomes 3.1 and jumping up down.
    and red led blinking
    Thanks for your help

It is necessary to check the resistance of the load on the 5 vstb video board

Measure the voltage on the Z121. A- pin 3 (hot ground !) with pin 5 of about 300 volts. B - pin 3 to pin 2 of about 20 volts

Check the following 2 resistors on the power supply:

                      R130 (red-red-gold) should be 2.2 ohms
                      R203 (red-red-silver) should be 0.22 ohms

These are flameproof resistors. When overloaded by a short circuit, they act like fuses and become open circuit. Both resistors in your pix have little black spots on them: That's usually what they look like when burned out. When you look real close you will see that there is a little bit of a hole burned into the resistor's coating. On the other hand, if the black mark is simply from a marking pen, and the resistor tests good with a meter, then there is no problem here.

                                          Hi guys,
I am currently trying to fix an atx psu which has 5v stb present, but doesn't turn on when shorting the pson wire to ground (I have tried with and without load), the pwm/supervisor is a est7502 (which I have replaced), I have checked every diode, every transistor and every cap and they all look fine (capacity wise, I don't have an esr meter yet), the only anomaly is the second voltage (is it called bias voltage maybe?) coming out from the standby transformer, which reads 13.5v (I believe it should be above 15/16v), any suggestion on what to check next?

                                          by tikyucnan
We repaired an ADP-240CR that was not producing 12V properly.
DDA001AG and 1608B were broken, so they were replaced and 12V came out normally, but when connected to the main unit and turned on, it immediately shuts down.
Then 5V is not output and the power supply locks up.
When the power cable is disconnected and reconnected, the lock is released.
I have seen the locking symptom when there is something wrong with the 1608B, so I replaced it with another 1608B, but the situation remains the same.

                                          I transplanted major ICs such as DDA001AG, DAS001, 1608B, DNP012A,...

I had a desktop form factor mini-server die on me a few weeks ago. Through my initial diagnostics, I was convinced it was the motherboard because when I shorted the Green wire on the ATX connecter, the multimeter gave me all the correct voltages on the various pins of the ATX connector and 5VSTB was also correct. To my surprise the replacement motherboard wouldn't turn on with the case power button either. I threw in another PSU and it turned on right away. This is an 80 Plus EVGA 430W PSU with PN:100-W1-0430. I pulled the cover off and don't see any immediately obvious blown caps or scorch...

It's the power supply from this post – a Dell L305-00 305 Watt PSU (Lite-ON model PS-6311-2d2). Although only one capacitor appeared bulged on this PSU, I found many more that were bad.

Therefore, here goes a thread for a full recap of this PSU. The list here includes all of the electrolytic capacitors and their board designators, with the exception of the two big 200V caps on the primary side – I won't be changing these on my unit:
