Hi, I have a 32inch Toshiba Regaza 32AV555D which has decided not to power on anymore. When I turn it on at the mains the red standby light comes on but when I press either the power button, or the power on the remote control, the green power light on the set lights up very dim and very briefly then it goes back to the red standby light. I have opened the tv and can see no puffy transistors. I have replaced the power supply but still the problem persists. Any tips or thoughts would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Re: Toshiba Regaza 32AV555D Won't Power Up
Hi, i'm a new member so try to be patient to me please (grins). A friend gave me a 32AV555DV without remote control, the tv was abandoned since years due to a big problem: it won't turn on. So i opened it and cheched all fuses, resistors and thiristors in the power supply board, they are good, else, no caps look bad. the leds in the little buttons panel are both green , the power one very low, power button doesn't do anything when pushed as the others buttons. I can't find the power supply board scheme, to check the circuit and the voltage paths, so i tought to ask for a help. This thread looks a bit old and i don't know if anybody will read my post, but i'll be patient and i'll try anyway.
Thanks anywayComment

Re: Toshiba Regaza 32AV555D Won't Power Up
OK, so i sounds like yuo do have standby Voltage otherwise you will se any indicator lights.
So when you hit the power switch, do you hear the power relay RL801 on the power supply board click on?
It looks like some one tried to fix the board because the relay cover is missing.

Re: Toshiba Regaza 32AV555D Won't Power Up
Hi budm,
well, the power switch, as any other button has no effect, this is the situation as i plug the power cable. Regarding the relay it's uncovered just because i tried to manual operate it just to see if something would change, but at least no.
Is neither a stand by mode, beeing the led light green, both the "on" and the "timer" ones, although very dimmed.
Would be helpful the power supply board scheme, but i can't find...Comment

Re: Toshiba Regaza 32AV555D Won't Power Up
We need to find out which pin on the connector is the PS-ON pin, the connectors do not have pin labels so it will be difficult. Need to find the service manual for the TV.
Try downloading these manuals:

One of them is attached.Attached FilesLast edited by budm; 11-29-2016, 10:26 AM.Never stop learning

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by ipatchhello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

by russpallHi there,
I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.
The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:

by dicky96Hi guys
I have this Toshiba Lifebook A514
When I got it the battery was flat, orange Battery LED on. When you press the power button, with PSU attached, the blue LED by the button (and the one at the front of the laptop) come on, but no fans no signs of life... Nada.
I left it overnight on the charger and the battery did charge - no more orange light and the laptop will now power on without the PSU - but still no signs of life
If you hold the power button in, it will not power down again, you have to switch off power to the PSU
If you do... -
