Re: Problem with Samsung UN55ES6150F - Wont power up, 10 standby blinks

    Hi RDMaster ,

I repaired a similar model ( UE32ES6100 ) , also had 5 double blinks. In my case it was the power supply. Looking at your fault i would say the power supply OR the LED.
You can try to "heat" up the power supply with a hairdryer! Just apply some heat to the power supply with the hairdryer for like 2 minutes and turn on the tv. In my case the tv turned on whenever the PS was warm.

If not then disassemble the TV. These tv's are easy to disassemble , just 3 boards and a lcd screen with a led strip underneath.
Remove the screws on the bezel and remove the bezel from the lcd. Release the tabs from the T-Con and remove the LCD screen.

Below the LCD screen are the plastic covers , remove them all together at once and you will see nothing more then a led strip. If you see any burning you know the problem!

    Hope this helps!

This vid might help a little.

I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

      Thanks Moreno
Now the big question where can you find the correct Led strips I searched and have not found a set available . Also people tell me the big lcd panels are fragile and break easy unlike a 32

Too bad the video does not show the source for the LED strips and how they are being powered.

Re: Problem with Samsung UN55ES6150F - Wont power up, 10 standby blinks

I inherited a UN55ES6150 that was replaced by a new unit by a third party warranty company that is known for doing that instead of fixing it. It's been sitting for a while since I have an incredible Samsung DLP. And recently after a new bulb and 15,000 hours of use the DLP chip is going out. And other than buy a new something to get all the widgets that the UN55 set has, I'd rather try to fix the UN55 and do the DLP later.

I was able to get trouble codes off it and have yet to find what they mean.
Startup: 5 blinks (said to be the start up sequence).
Power removal gets me: 5-5-4 sets of double blinks.
I know there is a capacitor issues with these, especially with this set, but could there be more wrong with the codes that I got? Is there a "Blink Code Index"?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

          Thank you.

          P.S.
I will be placing this in other forums to get some coverage. Thanx.

            Hello,
Have you guys experience a problem with this tv UN55ES6100 (Power board P#: BN44-00503A) where the main AC fluse keeps blowing. I found QP801S (13NM60N) shorted. I replaced QP801S, ICM801 (FSFR1700XCL) and ICS801(D2011K) two times already and fuse, QP801S still blows.

Any help finding the culprit would be appreciated. Thanks

Good that you fixed the board.
                  BTW.
Do you mean high Voltage Cap CP818? which is the snubber cap connected in parallel with the Source and Drain pins of the PFC Power MOSFET QP801S, so if it is shorted out it will cause the fuse to blow, very common failure.
The CP819 is the snubber cap connected in parallel with DP808, if the cap is shorted then you will not have PFC Boosted Voltage but will not cause the fuse to blow.

I Though about that. But, yes the defective cap was the CP819. Installed on tv and everything is working.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:
                      • Motherboard: LA-J871P Rev: 1B

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

Sceptre U550CV-UMR 4K LED, Bad Caps on Main Power Board?
                      by Dani_2024
Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                      by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board
