    Samsung LE40M86BD fine lines

Hello, i replaced the AS15-F on a friends Samsung but have noticed it has a red line of the left and three on the right. After 20 minutes the line on the left disappears and the three on the right turn to a single line.
Is this a tab bond issue or something else ? I've pulled a few of the caps of the power board and they test fine.
    Thanks

Lines that disappear or lines that appear after a short time would be a tab bond issue I think, try twisting the frame a little to see if it come and goes Flocko

Cheers Flocko, i've just given it a twist and the lines changed. I'll see if i can get some thermal pad in there to keep the pressure on.

I've found the single-pixel line issues to be generally unrepairable, even if it is "tab bond" related. That's just my experience, though.

Hope the thermal pads work for you, the trouble is I like Tom have never had much luck with this type of repair you may get it working and put it all back together only to find it fails again down the line, I just end up parting sets out with tab problems as don't want them coming back ,tell your friend / owner the problem then its their call, but good luck with it anyway Flocko

The only tab bond repair sets I do is 26" Chimei, as they seem to last... the others just die a few days/weeks later.

Thank you both. I think I'll leave it for now then, the TV already has a dark shadow in the middle and the lines almost disappear on their own, i don't want to make this worse.

                Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
                by Rubenlily
                Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

Lenovo P14s Gen 5 SVP unlock
                by Syseng
This sums up discussion related to Lenovo P14s Gen5 in this thread. Credits go to Sbaro and especially Maxpower3. The locked dump is attached.

The device is based on NM-F871 motherboard with Nuvoton NPCK397 series controller. The motherboard also contains three BIOS chips: two different Winbond chips for main BIOS and external EC flash, and also a Gigadevice chip which purpose I do not know. The password information is contained directly in controller and thus can be manipulated by reprogramming it, so reprogramming BIOS chips is technically not required, however you may wish to make...

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm
                by cubytus
                Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...
