    Capacitor Indentification Help

Can anyone tell me the specs on these caps ? 40uf ?? volts ? Are they called solid aluminum ?

They are from the address board (E Buffer) from a Samsung plasma I'm working on and were sheared off cleanly when the main board bracket fell from its perch. Thanks

They are a polymer electrolytic type. Do you have a capacitance meter? Unfortunately different manufacturers have their own codes. It's not always easy.

I thought the capacitance was as marked (40uf) but will check with a meter. As to the voltage would it be advisable to put a meter across the pads to read the operating voltage ?

Are you sure? The vent marks on top seem to suggest otherwise.

Hey thanks for that! Is this a specialty cap of sorts or can it be replaced with a standard electrolytic ? 40uf is an odd value for a cap is it not ?
