Toshiba 55l7453d screen on but nothing else works

Hi all, I’ve just acquired a Toshiba 55l7453d smart tv , I bridged 2 leds as I originally thought it was the backlights but once I got the picture on I can’t access anything else, no guide no internet no nothing , I will upload photos of the boards, I’ve tried looking for a USB firmware update but can’t seem to find anything

How bout some pictures. Did you check the expected voltages at the connector of powerboard, the cable from mainboard to powerboard connects there.

Also when I say nothing else works
I do get the Apps menu on screen when I press the home button but I cant access any of them apart from the screen mirror, I can’t get into the tv settings as there is no settings menu available so I can’t update channels or connect the tv to the internet & I don’t have a home router as I use my mobile hotspot so I can’t use the LAN plug , I will upload more pictures of the screen now , I hope I have made things a bit clearer now

When I remove the cable I marked in red there’s a slight buzz & the bottom half of the screen goes darker as in the picture with the blue line and arrows Click image for larger version

So you never had this tv working? Can you change inputs and try an antenna and over the air or an hdmi device. The built in apps may have long been obsolete on this tv, being about 11 years old, they like to abandon the apps as soon as they can, in hopes that everyone will buy a new tv from them..

Try searching the method of performing a service reset, the whole tv has been got trough a damaging spike from outlet.. and it's been ruined on some eeproms.. some files on the emmc/nand could have been broken, in that case no other ways but reprogramming it by special tools or direct pc link (too hard to explain)

ThinkPad P15s Gen 1, NM-C931 REV 1.0 touch screen replaced only works in UEFI menu
                  by Yehuda170
original screen was BOE NV156FHM-T07 with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

replaced with what was in my stock, which is IVO R156NWF7 R2 which is also with On-Cell Touch screen I²C

now touch screen works perfectly in UEFI BIOS menu & boot menu. but not working in OS, tried windows & linux too

with original broken screen i can see in device manager touch screen in human interfaces

but with the new screen it's not showing in device manager

is it lenovo blocking it? is it driver missing?

                  I²C is a headache

                  Toshiba 50UL4B63DG faulty screen?
                  by sigmeyer
I got this 50 inch tv the screen starts off with almost nothing visible but the top part of it , and it would slowly kick in and the picture would be visible , but then over time it would go greyish with the top of it mostly intact. I did have instance where the screen would be fucked like that and i would touch the cpu and memory to see if it would react and a couple times it would screech on the speakers and restart. After that it would show a better picture somewhat but afterwards i touch the cpu and not much is achieved. Im wondering is this a screen fault or should i pursue this with a donor...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
                  by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...
