    LN40C630K1FXZA wont turn on

I have an LN40C630K1FXZA and it is not turning on, but when I disconnect the cable between the power board and the main board the backlite comes on, that is the only activity I get other than the red lite being on , Thanks for your help.

That means the problem is in the Main board. Upload good clear pictures of the main board.

630,640 and 650 have notorious mainboard issues, if you connect the mainboard back up and I believe this unit has a network Ethernet port if you see he yellow light flash when the unit is trying to post boot the. You have a bad CPU. I just went through this with a ln46B640.

The CPU doesn't have a good bond to the heat sink in some board revisions and they cook themselves.

So normally replacing the main board corrects this problem ? Thanks

I don't know, you will need to check your ps voltages, what I found was for mine but I have had a few 630 and a 650 both needed mainboards, one of the 630s needed a ps too.

Thanks for your help. I checked power in at my plug, had 120v. Checked both fuses and were good. I also checked and found my 2 yellow capacitors ,both went from 130 volts on standby to 430 os so after I pushed on with the remote
