Hi, I have this tv a LG 55UH661V that show flickering images and lines. I tried to take off one at time the right and the left ribbon cable and put the tape for ask the pin…but nothing working. Or I stop to have picture or still flickering. Someone can help me to understand what pin I have to mask? What I notice the buffering board, the flat cable becomes very hot, I don’t think it s normal, I’m talking about the orange flat cable soldering on the buffering board, both side are very hot. I give you the photo with both the ribbon cable on and a photo with the right off and with the lefts off can you please help me

Hi guy I’m not give up because the tv was working fine….i noticed a simil burned area in the end of the buffering board on the right side panel. I give you the photo. That area have 10 resistores from R2000 to R2009. They become very hot and you can see a brown color . They start to warm after some second the panel is on and then also the flat yellow cable start to bcecome hot. I tested all the capacitor and they are ok, I tested also the resistors and they are around 100 ohm so I think it s ok. Someone resistors near are like in short like 0,004 ohm but maybe they have low resistence I don’t know…I give you the photo with the values. I tested also the volts on vgh and I have +26,6 volts stable vgl2 -14,9 volts that don’t know if is ok. And the points near vgh and vgl2 go from +26,6 to -14,9 and I don’t know if it s normal. I give you the photo someone can help me, I saw some videos where people take off the resistors and the tv turn on normalupy can I do the same, or the problem is not fixable or the problem is somewhere else thanksComment

The problem is in the panel according to the CKV signals, check the resistance on these resistors from the panel side relative to the ground, if it is low, then remove these resistors and achieve a better image (before measuring the resistance, disconnect the bar from the T-CON).Comment

The problem is in the panel according to the CKV signals, check the resistance on these resistors from the panel side relative to the ground, if it is low, then remove these resistors and achieve a better image (before measuring the resistance, disconnect the bar from the T-CON).
but if I disconnect the other side the resistence to the ground goes around 300 kohm. This happen for both the side if I disconnect both side, both side didn’t have low resistence relative on the ground. If I disconnect one side at time, then the resistors who had low resistence, have 17 ohm on the ground.
I notice also the pack of 10 resistors on the end of the buffer board of the other side getting hot, not hot like the right side but also them getting warm. Do you think if I take off the resistor with low resistence it can help? Or I have to take off the pack of the 10 resistors? Or all is vain because it s completed death?. thanks always for your helpComment

Thanks Iotas, I plug off the buffers bars, and I checked the resistors on the buffer board to the ground, but no one have low resistence if I disconnect both the side. With one side connect some resistence are like 17 ohm, they are the resistors who give me very low resistence but they don’t warm, the part that warm is on the end of the buffer board the 10 resistors.Comment

by reessiHello,
The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..
They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.
Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.
I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...-

by GuybrushAfter watching too many electronics repair videos (but not monitors) I came across a dell monitor with flickering horizontal lines. I haven't purchased it yet so don't have much info, but from the video and pic do you think there is a chance of repair or is just simple panel damage?
Seller claims; "but due to sun damage has some grey lines going through it"

by mrsithHello again good souls.
Got an UE70TU7100. The TV starts up just fine, but right hand side of the screen is horizontal striped a bit, and there are some flickering horizontal lines on the whole length of the screen. I've seen similar static horizontal lines sometimes, when applying the cut tape method and covering wrong number of pins.
I've cleaned every connector with ipa, tried cut tape method on main LVDS ribbon as well as small ribbons, connecting the panel boards at the bottom. Tried squeezing the bezel and playing around COFs, but no reaction at all. COFs and... -
by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Hey, I got an Telefunken 4K D50U TV in for repair. Since the problem is t-con flex related, I isolated the problem to one side (right flex of the t-con). I taped the flex a bit, but i couldnt get any further. I attached the pictures of the t-con board in zoom in perspective. I would appreciate help for this TV. Please note that I came from Germany, so it is a bit difficult with the time zones. Greeting Tobi...08-29-2024, 03:47 PM
