    Sharp LC-37XL8E bad lamp?

    Hi,

few days ago, my beloved Sharp shut off and started to blink red or green led one blink per second. Service mode cant be entered - screen turns off after few seconds. As I understand, one of lamps failed.
Can someone pinpoint capacitor that needs to be jumped in order to bypass lamp diagnostics or smt? Attached pics of inverter board.

Here's service manual for this TV

Pin 18 of OZ964GN, trace it to a capacitor. Short that capacitor. However do be aware doing this can cause damage to the inverter, bulbs or transformers and possibly create a fire hazard. Only do this as a temporary test before repairing the root cause.

Thanks, but I have a hard time tracing... First there's a resistor (?) JR7513, then path splits.. Attached one more pic

Try C7524, they may also use that control line for other stuff.

I think it means you're getting no error any more but there is a fault with the inverter preventing it lighting up.

Desoldered jumper - I do get a pair seconds of image, with dimmed region in center of a screen. So sad..

                  Sharp LC-60LE810UN Lamp error
                  by Eric D.
                  Hello everyone!
I just acquired a Sharp Aquos for free.
When I plug it in, it will try to power on, but it fails.
The "error code" is 1 long flash, then 1 short flash, which suggests it is a lamp error code, according to the manuals.
                  I did a bit of research and did what I found could be the possible issues;
I removed the back panel, checked for continuity on both fuses where the power cable connects, and I get somewhere around 0.05. That should be good.
I also tested the leads going into the psu board from the wall connector; I get 120V.
                  I disconnected...

                  Sharp LC-60LE810UN Lamp Error
                  by Yanleb
                  Hi all,

I have this Sharp LC-60LE810UN that stays off and blinks a Lamp Error (1 long flash followed by a short flash, in a loop).

I already confirmed that the first backlight strip has an open LED using a LED strip tester. The other 3 LED strips are fine.

Before tearing the LCD panel apart, I want to make sure that the rest of the TV set is good. I've tested the power-supply/LED inverter board by sending 5 volt to PS-ON, to PNL-POW (that commands power the T-CON board only), OFL and STB pins. The power-supply is good.

                  I've tried all the key...

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
                  by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Un50cu7000 2 blink oddity *partially solved
                  by EazyBone
I write this to maybe help another with this TV.

So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.

The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

                  Sharp LC-80LE632U 2-5 blink code
                  by SdlewisSr
I have a Sharp LC-80LE632U with a 2-5 blink code. I have narrowed it down to the T-Con/Panel. I get the error if both or either ribbon cable is connected between the T-Con and the Panel. If I disconnect both ribbon cables, I get no error and the TV powers up just fine.
Does anyone know if this is a definite bad Panel or is there a chance that the T-Con could still be at fault?
