    Tevion TPDP42HP No Power

    Hi everyone,

I have a 42 inch Tevion TPDP42HP plasma and last week I went to turn it on and realised that it's not coming on at all. I checked the fuse and cable and all seemed okay so I decided to take the back off and take a closer look. I checked all the fuses and all were okay. I noticed 2 domed capacitors so I replaced them (circled in red) and tried to power on the TV but it's still not working. All the other capacitors look okay (no bulge/dome).

I tried disconnecting the other boards one at a time but still no luck in getting the TV to turn on.

I also tried to measure the voltage. Voltage going in the PSU is about 280V - 300V (is this normal?) I tried taking DC voltages by using the chassis as the ground but I'm getting 0V readings everywhere (tried all the connectors).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

OK - start by saying I know as little about plasma tvs as you do
Pictures of the separate boards are not really clear enough. can you try again probably need more light but no flash. I think I see another domed cap.

You may need to do a bit more research before you continue, and before you kill yourself.

Read this -it has a lot of tests most without power - any components you
dont know look them up see what they look like

    Few simple rules:
    Test voltage with power on
Test resistance (ohms with power off and unplugged
To check components on the PRIMARY/HOT side use the negative leg of the BIG CAP as ground for the negative lead on your meter.
To check components on the SECONDARY/COLD side use the chassis ground
for the negative lead on your meter.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair
