      ok so turned the tv on this morning all good until i noticed some distortion in colours,i have tried to upload a video to show this so im gathering possible tcon board fault ?

        very strange tried the hdmi lead all good then tried the scart again all working fine ?

          LVDS cable clean and seated both ends? Maybe cold solder joint under processor... Probably not T-con board IMHO...

            ok tv yet again is dead all voltages fluctuating shall i change the last 2 caps (due to being from a old board) with 47uf 50v due to running out of stock with the 22uf 50v caps

              i say yes.

              back when i was doing satellite recievers almost production line style,
              we always bumped up the startup cap to the next value.

              the plus is it lasts MUCH longer before failing.
              the downside on paper is it takes longer to build the initial charge for starting.
              i say "on paper" because we are talking fractions of a second - so who cares!

                ok thanks already done this so i changed the two old 22uf 50v caps with new 47uf 50v and now the tv is working again but im still suspecting a fault elsewhere with the psu but ill keep testing

                    yeah thats what im thinking tom ill run it for a few days then see how it goes,if it goes again then ill check for cold joints
