vm60p black square 1/4 of screen

I have vizio tv and while watching it a black square popped up and will not go off? Anyone have any clue how to fix it? Thanks

Below the "Reply to Thread" window (not "Quick Reply"), there is a manage attachments function. Find the photo on your computer and upload it from there.

Usually a black square is caused by closed captioning, change the settings and turn it off
If I remember if it is set to one of the TEXT modes you will get that.

ok thats not the c.c. box, it looks more like a possible panel problem, maybe tab bond issue.

no lines or images just the black box. It just popped up while watching it

I agree with R_J, looks like a panel issue. Check the tab bonds from the t-con to the panel itself.

I have another question, why would it go away for a day or so then come back? It has done it about 3 times now? Thanks for the help

and to check the tab bond from the t-con am I checking to see if they are loose? sorry just really new to tv stuff.lol
