Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On the led the voltage is not stable start around 240 and drops, this happen if the led are plug in in the main board or also if plug off…someone can help me? Thanks for all

With the PSU disconnected from the Main Bd., Plug in the TV and see if the Backlights turn ON and stay ON.
If the backlights turn ON and stay ON then the Main Bd if the fault.
If not then the Backlights or the PSU is defective. -
thanks andrew, but this board is 3 in 1, i have only one board where there is the psu the main board adn the tcon........Comment

Hi guy im back after change the back light of the tv but still the tv doesn’t turn on.
the model of tv is ue55tu7170u, i put one photo of the main board. When i plug in the cord of tv, the standby led turn on for a second then all is black, no back light no standby led nothing. If I press the buttons on the remote I see the standby led flashes but nothing happen. I put some voltage I have, the standby voltage on the main board should be 11,8 volts but I have 13,1 volts not sure it s ok. And in some coil I have the 3,e volt stable, the 5 volt stable, on some diode I have 0,8 to 1,3 volts that is not stable always change. And the back light start with 250 volts but goes down…someone can help me it s a board problem or I need to flash the eprom I really need your help thanksComment

hi iotas thanks for your answer, if i read the eprom and sent it here, can you give a look at it?. i have the ch134 programmer, actually i never used but i should read the eprom. is it better desolder it from the main board or i can read it directly with the clamp tool, what is the best way? and if i post it here u can give a look on it?Comment

It is better to unsolder this chip (eeprom) and save its data (dump), so that later you can experiment and if anything return everything back, it is useless to look at this dump, since it is individual in each TV, you just need to throw in the firmware from the same working TV for diagnostics...
Try connecting via terminal via UART and see what the log outputs.Last edited by lotas; 03-30-2025, 05:06 AM.Comment

i tried to turn on the tv with the ldvs cable off, but nothing changed. So I tried with Ldvs plug in, but with the buffer board disconnected first the right side but nothing changed, then the left side I could not disconnected because there arrive the ldvs, so I try to cover the pins with the tape but nothing changed. The tv when you plug the cord for a second the standby led turn on, then disappear. So the tv look like all death no back light no sound nothing, but if u press the button on the tv or the remote control u see the led flashing until u press it and then stop. Honestly I didn’t jump the the fb.
but I desolder the eprom and red with neopragrammer and ch341. I went to search ic, and select i2c and then st. Here I have two option m24m01 and m24m02 honestly I tried with both the types, and I have all blank chip. So or I’m wrong something or the ic is empty. But maybe I wrong, I read your posts here and u talk about a modification on the ch314 black.
i try to make the jump and I say u what happen. Thanks for your support

This is how it should be, the data is here and is in the middle of the dump.

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.
Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today.... -
by JackchingI know for sure it has a bad cap and one cold solder joint. Just wondering before i order the Caps if anyone has any experience with this model? Just making sure there isnt a common component that goes bad besides the caps....

by Doodle43My Samsung LN32B540 never turned back on after I had to turn off the power at the mains at house. It won't turn on, but the red standby led lights up when it is plugged in. If I hold down the power on the remote, the standby light turns off which I think means it is trying to turn on, but there's no sound or backlight. If I try to turn it on/off from the power button on the TV instead, it doesn't do anything at all.
It was plugged into a surge suppressor and was off (on standby) when I turned off the power,, so I don't know if it got a power surge or was on its way out anyway. I... -
by marcinqHello,
I've got a problem with a Samsung UE60KS7000 that was given to me and said that there was a problem with the One Connect box but as I understand the TV should turn on even with the One Connect box disconnected (which it doesn't). There is no stand by light.
I've disconnected the Main Board from the PSU and when connecting to mains the backlight turns on which suggests the PSU might be ok. I've measured the voltages out of the PSU and they seem reasonable (like the labels say). The main board has no obvious burns, there are no shorts on the power rails anywhere....4 Photos - Loading...
