I have no 5volt standby on my coby tftv4025 so im thinking would it be a bad cap for the 5volt standby? Or it is main board? I see nothing wronf visible on power supply

Re: What capacitor is for 5volt standby?
0V? Or just low...? (1~4V)
0V = Unlikely to be bad cap
Low = Possible bad capPlease do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: What capacitor is for 5volt standby?
AC main fuse is good? Are you getting 165VDC at the 2 legs of the main 450VDC filter cap?
If you do and do not see any damaged/burnt components, then unplug the TV and try heating up the two small start up caps C205, C206 by the standby power supply section using hair dryer for a couple minutes to see if the 5V will come on and has steady 5V.Never stop learning

Re: What capacitor is for 5volt standby?
If the voltage is unstable bad startup cap is a possibility. If it is stuck at one voltage, then it is more likely to be a bad output capacitor, excessive load, or bad voltage reference IC.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

What changed? You didn't have 5V standby before? Have you tried with the main board in and out to see if there is any change? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Change with main board? Do you mean checks?
Check any fuses (if present), check all voltage regulators and DC-DC converters, and check if the processor is getting excessively hot. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
