Maxent MX-50X3 Constant vertical lines, looks like bar codes.

I have saved one of these Maxent PDP's from a dumpster and believe it's the Y buffer board. The lines stay pretty constant in color with only a few flickering and changing color. I thought I would ask the opinion of smarter minds since this is my first PDP. Am I on the right track, or do I need to be looking else where?

In the chassis pic, I've already removed the upper y board.

There's a good chance this is a panel defect. Do the lines appear over displayed images? If they do it's definitely a bad plasma panel unfortunately non repairable.

I just posted a similar problem with horizontal lines on an old maxent.

Do your lines extend across the entire screen, and does the screen flicker along with the backlight? Based on research, it seems it is the mainboard. It sure would be nice to be able to definitively test these things to know.

I've put a ton of heat to the controller board, and anything that's BGA along with board flexing. Nothing made a change to point to a BGA issue that I can tell. But it still could be possible.

I disconnected the top PDP ribbon on the Y buffer board in the first pic. And in the second pic, I completely disconnected the PDP ribbons from the top middle X board.

Yes Tom the lines to appear over images. I'm uploading some video to better show.

Here is some quick video to show better.

          Youtube video of lines.

Definitely a bad plasma panel. Sorry, non repairable.

Well that's the chance you take for digging through dumpsters. Thanks for the help Tom. Looks like it's time to part out and grave yard it.

                Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                Samsung QN50Q60t lines on screen
                by jeyoung12
                Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...

Samsung UN65MU9000FXZA Horizontal Lines (Constant and Flickering)
                by Freefaller85
Figured I would post here before throwing TV to the curb.

TV is about 2 years old. Constant Horizontal Lines have developed on about 3/4 of the TV. Some lines also flicker and the picture duplicates itself creating a ghosting like effect. See video link below. If additional pictures and/or video would help please let me know and i will post more.

Is it worth trying to replace the main and/or power board(s)?

                or

                Is the panel 100% bad?

I took it apart last night and re-seated the ribbon cables...

                Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
                by Rubenlily
                Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
                by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
