OK , keep in mind i never made a lot of experiments on these type of sets , what i can tell is that if you make a test running the board without heatsink then probably the thermal protection kicks in and shuts off, the best way maybe put the board entirely in a bag inside freezer, let it cool enough , then make it start pushing on the processor with heatsink.. this test has few chances of success i think.. otherwise you can't fix it with only a thermal gun, it's too a specific process.. i am still searching a board for mine, so i can't say you the success rate of buying another board, if you do it, ensure by the seller it is come off from working set/cracked panel

diah, just come back from the test, and I think the main board is gone. How u suggest I disconnected the 2 flat cable of lvds, turn on and the cpu is become really hot in like 10 sec u can’t hold the finger on the cpu, I show u the zone that become hot. Is it normal be so hot ? It s because I removed the heat sink? Or the hot without the lvds connect means the cpu is in short?

put back the heat sink man.... i said the IC DC to DC you mentioned before,, leave the TV in boot loop just watch the IC temperature

Davi.p, I think with the test that diah suggest, to disconnect the flat of display and turn on the Tv and check the cpu temperature, I think u were right that is a main board problem and not a panel problem. Maybe in the end I have the main board and the panel broken, I don’t know but for sure I think the main board is death because the cpu become super hot in 10 sec. I thought for push on the cpu I should remove the heatsink… sorry my mistake. If someone confirm me that also if I remove the heatsink, have a cpu with a temperature that u can hold the finger on it means it s broken, broken for broken I can try to put in the freezer and try it. So I wait someone confirm me that the cpu is death thanksOK , keep in mind i never made a lot of experiments on these type of sets , what i can tell is that if you make a test running the board without heatsink then probably the thermal protection kicks in and shuts off, the best way maybe put the board entirely in a bag inside freezer, let it cool enough , then make it start pushing on the processor with heatsink.. this test has few chances of success i think.. otherwise you can't fix it with only a thermal gun, it's too a specific process.. i am still searching a board for mine, so i can't say you the success rate of buying another board, if you do it, ensure by the seller it is come off from working set/cracked panelComment

MAN..... with out heat sink the Soc will be very warm to hot... and no panel LVDS will be more hot because the GPU section in Soc will turn load 100% searching for it panel source..... we are talking on DC to DC IC.... put the heat sink back and tell about this shit other wise i will not follow any more... go make ICE cream with the advised experiment..Comment

I know guys I’m a nightmare. Come back after the test that diah suggest, hope I did in the right way. I put back the heatsink. I disconnect the 2 lvds flat cable from the main board. Turn on the Tv, with the termomemeter I tested the temperature of vpm2, but for not wrong I put a photo and sign the id I tested. In 1 minute, the temperature went to 58 celsius 136,4 F. Then slow the temperature went up but I turn off the Tv. Tell me if I did the test right and if it s normal

I’m sorry my fault….i didn’t know without the panel the gpu works more….i thought it was the opposite…really sorry….im a farmer…..MAN..... with out heat sink the Soc will be very warm to hot... and no panel LVDS will be more hot because the GPU section in Soc will turn load 100% searching for it panel source..... we are talking on DC to DC IC.... put the heat sink back and tell about this shit other wise i will not follow any more... go make ICE cream with the advised experiment..Comment

Install the jumper and disconnect the two lvds cables, put back the radiator (why did you remove it), turn on the TV and see if the panel DC/DC converter chip heats up, if so, then it is faulty or its wiring has a short circuit (ceramic capacitors).Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

the photo without heatsink is old, now how u suggest I put it back, but I’m using old photo for not make one. I did make the jumper the Tv start but the ic become super hot, I didn’t take the temperature because I was holding the wire on the point u said ( by the way u are a dragon, I was looking for them when u wrote me but I could not find…), but the temperature was high I could not hold the finger on it.. so I think like before 60 Celsius. So it this ic broken or some capacitor near it right?

Ok you told after that in the test you made you heard sound, this is a good sign, this means the cpu is working and needs the metal plate to work, the hot part you marked it is surely the CPU core, the other sparate "core" (it is called DIE) is the tcon processorLast edited by Davi.p; 11-11-2024, 05:02 PM.Comment

really thanks for the help, for testing the capacitor, I put in beep mode the tester one cable of the tester on the ground and with the other tester cable I touch the capacitor on the both side, and I should have just one side beep, is it correct? And before when I notice this Ic become hot, I tested the diode around them in diode mode. When I tested I read number also if I change position of the cable of the tester, I know a good diode I need to read a number and if I change position of the tester cable I need read OL, or maybe they are in parallel?

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by YellowJacketHi friends,
a friend of mine gave me this TV to fix, with common SAMSUNG TV issue - damaged panel. Turning on, sound is present, but no picture. So I went directly to standard process, connecting two pads together with a wire ( see in the picture ), and then removing flex cables. With right flex connected, there was half screen working, but still no picture ( disappearing colors and similar weird stuff ) + working sound. With left flex connected, TV is restarting + working sound. I supposed, left side is damaged, so I then blocked all 8 CLK pins ( going from 0R resistors on the second... -
by howardc64I've done a few of these. Using Samsung Service Manul method always result in some broken bits and the snap lock metal wire always gets bent and not reinstall as nice as original. After reinstall often have some pops and clicks. This is the best method I found so far. Pull the wire out instead

Here is a pic of how the hook on the wire locks
Stil ended up with a couple of small broken bits on the bottom haha. But the wire stayed perfectly straight and seems easier/less forceful. Fishing...10-12-2025, 07:52 PM -
by YanlebI have a Samsung UN58TU7000FXZC (same as UN58TU7000FXZA, just the Canadian model) with no picture. Backlight is on and sound is coming out just fine. Just no picture.
What is frustrating is that there's no voltage test point and no component labelling of any kind.
What I have found so far:
1. No voltage at pins 91-94 of the 96 pins connector CN1300 (marked 1 on the picture). This TV set has no T-CON board. The 96 pin flex cable goes directly to the right (when facing TV) lower panel board. Itself is linked with another flex to the other side.
2. Voltage... - Loading...
