    Marantz Plasma issue and OEM?

This one Tommy can probably answer?
Client wi9th a Marantz PD, think PD4220V (NEC ?) I think NEC, Marantz, Runco, maybe Philips all used the chassis?

Unit powers up with video for 1 minute, changes to a blue screen with video (all blue shades), then goes dark. Continues to recycle that way every few minutes.

Any ideas of OEM and part?

    Thanks as always!

Marantz is (was) NEC's high-end brand if that helps.

You think that is a main video board issue? Or am I looking Sustain, inverter's X, Y etc? Obviously not a power supply or panel

I fixed a 50" NEC with a similar problem (turning off after 30 seconds)
Cause was a bad audio amplifier board, triggering a fault code.
Other possibilities are stuck cooling fans.

Samsung Plasma TV Power Supply Issue
            by lp20th
I have a vintage 2008 Samsung 50” Plasma TV, Model code PN50A550S1FXZA with a power supply part number BN44-00222A. I repaired the power supply board several years ago finding a couple of cold solder joints on the back side of the board and it's worked great up until now. Recently a fried sound occurred with the smell of burnt electronics and the TV shut down. Trying to turn it back on yielded the typical relay clicking with no TV boot up. Upon investigation, removing feeds to the other boards within the TV it was found that disconnecting the logic board from the power supply allowed the...

Samsung 59" plasma PN59D550C1F seeking advice on mystery power board issue
            by Cooperr
I picked up this TV from Facebook Marketplace, original owner described it as "screen went black after a pop" and I hoped to see an obvious fuse or cap to replace. Doesn't seem to be the case, but my experience and electrical knowledge are kind of limited for this.

The power board (BN44-00445A, see attached) turns on and Vs and Va seem to momentarily have power, then they steadily drain to zero over a minute or two as if they're only getting power from capacitors. I've been measuring Vs and Va from the test pads, with and without the other boards connected to the power board...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
            by rounin
            Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

            🛠 Original Issue
            The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
            by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...
