I've just got one of these in myself with nearly exactly the same issue. The problem I found is the two FETS under the heatsink near the blown fuse will be short circuit. Q300 & Q301

These guys do a repair kit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PANASONIC-...-/151415201597 although I'll be sourcing my own parts, I'm a little concerned where they mention about a short in the panel? Anyone know what they mean?

I'm not a fan of that solution. I would use a fuse with leads pre-formed. That looks like it could just come loose. They are available on Farnell and CPC: search leaded fuse, 6.3mm x 20mm.

Most fuses won't accept solder. The caps are usually plated.

yeah, they are not normal diodes, and most people think they are faulty when they test them.

Panasonic originals bound to be overpriced. They would cost 50 cents from a good electronic part distributor. But, you need specifications to be sure which part to get.

I realise this is an old thread but just wanted to check if the issue was ever resolved? I have a TX-P42ST30b with a similar problem. Started with a 7 blink code, replaced the usualy suspects on the TNPA5330 SC board. On the TNPA5390 P board the 4 amp fuse was blown, replaced it temporarily with a slightly higer rated one as it was all I had to hand (6A or 8A I think?) and it immediately blew again and one of the FETs under the heatsink (Q300) blew as well as the two 8A fuses near the bottom of the board.

Replaced Q300 and Q301 (R6015ANX), replaced all fuses (with correct rating, slow blow fuses), R100 was open so replaced it. When I connected it up the green light starts flashing as usual but when it reached the power on state the 4A fuse blows and it shorted Q300 and Q301 again (these came from RS so should have been decent quality).

Anyone have any ideas where to look next?

I would check the SS and SC boards again for shorts--It may have shorted on one of those--then killed the PSU again.

When trying next time, wire a 250W lamp, (Or enough bulbs in parallel to make 250-300W) in place of the mains-fuse--may save some silicon if it decides to not work...

                                            by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
                                            The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

Samsung UE46ES8000 Blown fuse but no other signs of short
                                            by jesterace
Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I have this Samsung UE46ES8000 TV and it went bang during use. The main fuse on the PSU board is open. I've checked every diode/mosfet/transistor I can see and nothing appears to be short to cause the fuse to go. The DC output of the bridge rectifier is not short either. I've seen online that some of these models are known for having their PFC mosfet or other mosfets shorting and blowing the fuse but i'm not seeing that here. If anyone aware of these models having any issues to cause this? I'm reluctant to just replace the...

Help replacing fuse on my Mimaki CJV300-160 vinyl printer
                                            by jshhh
                                            Hi guys,

I'm inexperienced with electronics repairs, I've done a little bit of soldering caps and whatnot, but i have a blown fuse on this mimaki printer I got which I have bought a replacement for.

How do I remove this type of fuse (see picture)...it kinda looks like it would pull out of that bracket but it didn't come at first pull and I didn't want to brute force it incase it's soldered on there like most of the rest of the components.

Anybody know how to remove this type of fuse?

(The fuse is toward the bottom of the image labeled F2)...

Argon SA1 audio amplifier power-supply - fuse blown after fixing the short?
                                            by Babbar
I found a project in the electronics trash yesterday. A nice Argon SA1 audio amp with some electrical issue. Took it apart and saw that the 4A250V fuse was blown so started lifting components to find the short. Eventually got to two MOSFETs (model FTA14N50C) that are shorted and when i took them out the short was gone.

Now i didn't have any replacements of the same model of course but i found a couple with pretty similar spec i thought (K10A60D & K12A50D) and put them in. Also replaced the blown fuse with a 3.5A250V one. Checked another time for short circuit and plugged it in....
