ok do i leave the other cable connected to main board? the back light 1? and what is a pfc? what am i looking for?

jumped it nothing happened no red standby light but i also left the bl plug off cuz i dunno if it would burn it or not

You will test the board by itself without having it connected to other board, just 120VAC feeding it. Then you do the force on and see if the DC voltage on the main filter cap goes up.
PFC is the circuit on the power supply board that we are testing to see if it is working or not first.

Bud i appreciate u trying to help me and forgive me for being electronically dumb but in the pic above i have it jumped like u wanted but what is a filter cap and what are the test points and how do i test it? i do not have a service manual i was unable to locate one online

It is the big brown/black cap laying on its side (may be about 1.50" dia.). You must measure the DC Voltage right at the two legs, and DO NOT LET THE PROBES SLIP!, you are working in the Primary DEADLY side of the circuit so DO NOT touch any thing with your hands or body.

383V at the leggs and my board is a BN4400191B not A dunno if it makes a difference but the schematic on pg2 dont look like my board pinout

That is good, the PFC voltage booster is working, then now we need to work on the 12V/24V power supply section next. The SCH of A is close enough to use as the guide.
Check the resistor RM801 to see if it shows < 1 Ohms.

OK, never mind about RM801 resistor, the 'B' board does not use the same designators.
I will need very clear pictures of the whole top and bottom side of the board, not in section for now.

There is a red fuse FB802S that needs to be checked.

OK, it does have RM801 fusible resistor, it is under the red cap CM808 (or 9??), next to the small heat sink that has two 3-pin devices attached to it. See if that resistor show <1 Ohm. That resistor is right close to that red fuse FB802.

OK, that is good, so the MOSFETs are getting the boosted PFC OK (RM801 is the fusible resistor to feed the voltage from PFC to the MOSFETs on that small heat sink to drive the power transformer to produce 12V and the 24V).
This not going to be easy, I will need to draw up the SCH of the board to see how the components are connected, not sure I will have the time to do all the tracing.
