Someone gave me this TV. The original problem was blinking power led and wouldn't turn on. I found a resistor fried on the power board. Replaced the power board and now it turns on but there are issues with the video. I am trying to figure out if this is the panel or something else. I have switched out the mainboard and have the same issues. In addition to the blocking issue you can see in the picture, every now and then the picture will start flickering at various speeds. The audio is perfect during the whole time.

by homergingHello,
could anyone please tell me what is likely to be causing the CRT picture quality issues as shown in the attachments and what it'd take to fix it if that is possible?
The picture has a greenish tinge, colour scan lines are separated and there can be shimmering and the bottom can be missing at first. It has slowly gotten worse over time.
It is worst when first turned on and slowly improves but not resolves over a period of approximately 90 minutes. Warmer room temperatures possibly have a positive influence.... -
by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by CyberPhoenixHello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...

by RauniHello, this is my first post on this forum, and my first attempted to repair a TV.
My Philips 58PUS7805/12 stopped working recently. It is not that old, about 5 years. We were on a trip for a few days and when we came back, it had stopped working out of a blue (Perhaps our house was hit by a lightning strike? Don't know.)
Read from a guide that I should test if the screen shows picture with one of the T-Con cables disconnected. Did that, it showed perfect picture (first on left, later on right side).
Read also that we should test what happens if we... - Loading...
