Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
Not always. Depends on the TV. I have some which do and some which don't. Hence why I wanted you to get all those readings I asked for. The readings so far indicate a good part of the Y-main board is working. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
They are in the photo I linked previously, between those pins on the buffer board, and at the tab of that SMD transistor....Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
tom the voltages bounce from high to low, goes to 14, to 60, 10, 50, 100, 14, constantly just bouncing, and while I was down there, something is real hot burning smell, seems like it comes from that blackish resistor but this smdComment

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
OK, now pull the buffers out. Does the voltage stabilise?
Seems like bad buffer might be pulling down Vscan voltage. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
I disconnected buffers and scan drive below it, and it still does that, this resistor is so hot my probe touched it and it started to melt and this was about 2 secs after I turned tv onComment

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
im not trying to be on a component repair for the board, I just wanna replace the board, im just trying to narrow the bad board downComment

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
Could you highlight this resistor for me on an image of the board... need to see if it might be damaged by a bad buffer board hence causing your fault. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
OK those do feed the buffers. Since you indicate you want a board swap I'd advise swapping both boards. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by Asraf AtbHi everyone,
Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.
Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.
I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....1 Photo -
by bcstedtJust starting to crack into this one and wanted to get the ball rolling.
At power on (plug in), power light on, relays click, repeat (sometimes)
After disconnecting Y-Main from SMPS power stays on and boot up jingle is heard from speakers
Removed Y-Main for inspection and testing

by JSin21Hoping someone here could possibly help. I have a few questions in regards to compatibility with main boards. But I'll give a quick short run down on what's going on first;
I have Samsung Smart TV UA65MU6100WXXY version DA01
Now years ago it started intermittently playing up after a lighting strike. Lighting hit the block of units i was living in at the time. Ever since that night the TV started having a mind of its own, It would randomly turn itself off or on, and all inputs stopped responding like HDMI, aerial, but USB still worked. Anyway, over the next few months...4 Photos -
by BiruslapioHello, the problem with this TV is it has all the Y and X voltages, but does not produce any image.
It had a TON of cracked solder joints on these boards, fixed all that I could find, but in the last test I forgot to plug in the Y-SUS to control board flat cable, it was left dangling and possibly some pins shorted to the panel metal ground, the X-Main buzzed quietly then blew up in 3 seconds after powering up, annoying.
Two RJH30E2 shorted, they are 360V 35A 1.7VCE IGBTs, the problem is I don't have any 360V IGBTs, only 300V or 600V, would two RJP3065 fit in? It's... - Loading...
