help with samsung pn58b550 plasma

ok I got this plasma and I still hear the sound of it turn on and it says on, so im starting to think maybe main board??? the main logic control green light is flashing is that normal? but I cant get picture. I have proper vs and va readings, I disconnected the bottom scan drives and buffers but am not getting inverter or picture, any advice where to go next? thanks

Check the Vscan and Ve on the Y-main and X-main respectively. How rapidly does the LED flash? Once a second or once every 5~7 seconds? Also try test pattern jumper.

The led flashes every second.. also what do u mean check the vscan and ve? I'm new to this plasma stuff. I was thinkn could it be the main board?

Maybe, but you can't be sure until you make tests. It's reasonably rare for a main board to produce audio but no video; not impossible, but rare.

Post a close shot of your X- and Y-main boards, clear and in focus, I will highlight where to test.

Ok tom I will do later when I get back there. Thanks for ur help. You do help me a lot. I'm not here just looking for answers. I'm trying to learn. I have like 10 tvs I'm working on. I'm pretty good with lcds but plasmas are complicated, and I always avoided them but now I'm going at them ready to learn how to do it

tom here are the pictures. yes the main logic control is blinking green light every second, also I hear a buzzing sound, sounds like its coming from under the main or the zsus, when I unconnect the z sus ribbon from logic control the buzzing goes away, here are the pictures[/ATTACH]

Is there any chance you can get a clearer photo, not from an angle? If not, can you take pictures in sections. Need to be able to see small text.

Tom is there anyway you can tell me what small print to look for? Its gonna be hard for me to get such a good pictuyre being this is a huge tv the spot i have it in doesnt have that good of light for my phone. I can follow great directions if u can help lead me, thanks

I disconnected all buffers and scan drives and still couldn't get a picture unless im doing it wrong? anyhelp? is the green light on the main logic control suppose to be constantly blinking every second?? I have sound but no picture?

1 blink sec is OK.
I am looking for Vscan, and Ve or Vb testpoint.

Each board is different, just look for labels.

...do any have a label Vscan or Vsc? I can't see one immediately. It is usually very obvious...

The one says vscan., the other one says. DXR,xr,vb,xs,xb ???

Tom I also did this check with prongs 3 and 4 and still nothing

That marks the adjustment point, but we're still looking for a place to test it. Since 3-4 jumper did not work, it is unlikely to be a main board fault.
