    Panasonic TC-P58S2 7 blinking red

Panasonic TC-P58S2 7 blinking red lights no sound no picture. Manufactured Oct 2010. Tried unplugging and same conditions. If I unplug z-sustain I get 6 blinks. Sorry a newbie here. Asking for a path to hopefully narrow down to a board or 2 to replace with guidance here unless with patience I can go further.
Please recommend next steps or a source for a service manual, if its here I could not find with a search. Also welcoming a reputable source for replacement parts.
    Thanks in advance.

Re: Panasonic TC-P58S2 7 blinking red

    7 BLINKS , normally SC/SD/SU related.

    TNPA5175AB , TXNSC1LYUU is the 58" version SC board.

    TNPA5174,TXNSD1LYUU
    TNPA5173 ,TXNSU1LYUU are the 58" SD/SU boards

Viewing the TV from the back, left side you have SU,SD (Ybuffer boards), SC board(ysus, ymain).

    Right side, SS (xsus,xmain,zsus)

    Panasonic description of 7 blink
Scan Drive Circuit and Connection between the SC board and SD/SU boards.

Missing Vsus. Abnormality of the scan circuit output, the 15V_F, the scn_pro, and Vscn circuit. Loose or open Connection between the SC board and the SD/SU boards(SC41, SC42, SC46). Open or loose connection between connectors SC2/P2 Wrong diagnostic by the A board Defective panel.

    To determine which board/s
    1. Remove the 4 VF_GND screws on the SD/SU boards.

    2. Unplug connectors SC41, SC46, and SC42 on the SC board.

    3. Jumper/short pins 1 and 2 of connector SC50 on the SC board.

Turn on TV, When this is done, the display is completely black (No picture)
If it turns on with no error, SC board passed, SU,SD at fault.

If faults, SC at fault, buffer boards should be checked as well in case they have shorted before installing a new Sc board.

42" guide should be good enough to help here.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
          by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
          by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
          by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
          • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
          • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
