Hitachi LED tv 24" with DVD combo

Hi all, I am having an issue with a Hitachi LED Tv 24" with DVD Combo.
I found the DVD on the street with looks in mint condition but obviously is not working so I decided to give it a try.
    It is a model le24ecd05au, the power rating is 12v 4A, I do not have a 12v 4A transformer but I connected a 12v 1.5A transformer and I plugged in the TV
it shows an standby red light and when I press the power button it shows a blue light (power on light) but I cant see any picture or even the Hitachi logo.
Initially I thought it could be because I am using a 1.5A transformer and the TV does not have the power to power on. but I tried pressing the "eject" button
of the DVD and the TV powered on, showed the Hitachi logo and power on, I could see the menu, etc, all fully working. I inserted a dvd, etc and it was working.
Then I power off the TV and I could not get it working again, the eject button did not work anymore, I have to dissasemble the tv to eject manually the DVD.
Do you know what could be the issue with this TV? I think it is not the PSU because it is a 12v TV.
Any help will be more than welcome!

There is a reason it is rated at 4 amps. You cannot be sure if a 1.5 amp supply will be able to supply all the current required, for example during eject it might draw an additional amp of current to get the eject motor turning.
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Hitachi LED tv 24" with DVD combo

Hi thanks for the reply, yesterday I used a power supply 12v 7.5A, and it does the same thing. I was able to start the tv 2 times and it works perfectly, the TV, HDMI, VGA, DVD, all works OK.
but I tried many many times and only 2 times it started, all other times only the blue light is on but nothing happens on the screen.
When the tv starts it should show the blue light and the hitachi logo on the screen, but around 95% of the cases it will just show the blue light only.
      Thanks !

Lithonia Lighting versus Light of America Compact Fluorescent product quality
        by sam_sam_sam
I have a Lithonia Lighting 65-Watt Gray Hardwired Compact Fluorescent

I also have back when Light of America had these light bulbs available for yard lights

The issue with Light of America was the blast boards had all most certain board failure while bulbs hardly ever fail

While the Lithonia lighting fixture has all most certain bulb failure

So I have modified the Lithonia lighting fixture to accept the Light of America light bulb and see how long this will last

I have only had this light fixture for not more than a year if it...

        Hitachi DV-PF4E VCR/DVD Combo - no power
        by Markie76
        Hi,

I have a Hitachi DV-PF4E VCR/DVD Combo unit which is dead - no power.

Last used and working ok about a year ago.

Then it has stood unused in the tv cabinet unplugged from the mains.

I went to use it this week, plugged it in and nothing happens, no display/lights, no response when pressing standby button.

Opened to check and fuse ok, ac supply ok, caps all look ok, other components & pcb look ok with no trauma visible.

Any cause for it to just go 'bad' by not being used for a year?

        Thanks,...

Strange! Acer laptop not powering on but charging the battery (orange light on when charger and battery plugged in).
        by serious_electron
        Hello Everyone!

I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.

HP Elitebook 845 G8 dead, only caps lock flashing 7 times. Charging light always on
        by esqmooo
        Hello everyone.

This is my development machine. I've been using it since two years and half without any problem except sometimes it wouldn't wake up from sleep.
Lately the issue became more frequent and powering it up would take few seconds to show the POST screen.
Then the computer refuses to power on at all. Now only the caps lock button flashes 7 times then stops. The charging light is always on whenever a power source is connected (battery or charger).
I tried long pressing on the power button, after several seconds it would go off then when the button is released...

        Original Xbox 1.0 PSU: Foxlink FTPS-0002 Rev. B. — 12 V low, 5 V high — transformer?
        by ohren
        Hello!

I'm looking at an original Xbox PSU: Foxlink ftps-0002 rev. B. The 12 V output is too low, and the 5 V output is too (?) high. Unfortunately I don't have an oscilloscope but only a DMM for diagnosis.

        Measured voltages with no load:

        After rectifier diodes
        12V: 6.17 V
        5V: 5.67 V

Secondary transformer pins AC measurement (really don't know if this says anything)
        12V: 2-2.5 V
        5V: 1.04 V

I also have another (working) Xbox psu from Delta. The same measures there, in order, being: 10.79,...
