Decided to get this out once again and have finally managed to fix it, I've simply up-rated a few caps found in the standby circuit after some more research and finding a newer post on here to do with the exact same Tv, and hey presto, turns on straight away now so once again thank you, Badcaps as always a big help, Andy.

So the screen is fine but I'm having problems with the AV media box, for what ever reason it won't always stay on, a matter of fact I'd say about 6 out of 7 times it will not work properly, I have found a way of entering the service menu, there's a jumper inside the box which allows you to enter either CSM mode, SDM mode or SAM mode, I've entered SAM mode and it's here that I'm stuck, I see a series of error codes, they are:

      039
      037
      038
      036
      041
      035
      065
      066
      053
      050

I'm guessing a few of these are probably old codes from a glitch or two in it's history but some, I'm sure, relate to now. I have read about making the unit a "stand alone" box but not so sure how, I'm still looking, anyway the codes above, any one got any ideas on them?

So whilst in the SAM service mode I have altered the option "stand alone" from NO to YES, this seems to of cured the switching off issue but has altered slightly how the box and Tv turn on, the Tv turns on with the box but will then switch off again, aiming the remote directly at the Tv to turn it back on resolves this, strange but at least it all works, it seems.....

60" LG 60PB690V relay clicking issue
          by DodgyTech
          Hi everyone,

I require some help with my TV. The TV standby light blicks on and off with a clicking sound (relay?) from the back. After I opened up the TV, I set about troubleshooting by unplugging the boards to try and isolate the problem. My troubleshooting suggests that the logic board is causing the issue, but it could entirely be the YSUS board which is only activated once the logic board is connected.

I have recorded a video which I thought would be an easier way to explain the problem and show the boards at the same time.

I would like to try and identify...

Carver CM-1090 - Power relay clicking on & off, then fuse blown after 20-30 seconds of power cycling.
          by beetle1303
I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.

On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off...

Philips 55PUS6804/12 turn on & off (probably backlight issue)
          by ovrax
          Hello everyone,

First of all, please excuse me as I'm quite new to this field.

I have a Philips 55PUS6804/12 TV. It turns on and off instantly (backlight flash). I personally think it's a backlight issue (faulty LEDs). Could you help me confirm my diagnosis?

I've checked and the T-CON seems to be fine. I disconnected one ribbon cable at a time at the bottom, but the problem persists.
The Ambilight works perfectly and stays on.

          No sounds.

          Thanks in advance.

LED TV Boot loop - UE40F6500SB

          Hi,

          First post...

I have this TV, which was working, then suddenly would not turn on. It would get the clicking relay then flash up the screen for less than a second, off for a second then on again. Removing the plug the relay continues to click on and off for a few cycles, which I don't think it did before.

Left it a few months, then finally got round to taking the back off, and it worked as it should. So I tested various bits and all was well. Then turned it on again, and back to the clicking relay.

I disconnected the main board from the power...
