Polaroid 900T Dead, no picture or sound but a constant clicking noise coming from it. Did all the normal checks for bad caps or anything burnt.

Re: Polaroid 900T Dead
I don't see any relays on the power boards, so I'm guessing the clicking is from the input selector switching.
In any case, start by checking voltages at the PSU connector when the TV is OFF and when it is ON. This looks like a single supply, so if the TV is clicking, the standby rail(s) is/are probably working fine. Could be an overload from the inverter if a transistor has gone bad (they won't always make the fuse blow), so try removing power going to the inverter (usually a jumper or fuse on the board). That fuse next to the connector on the power supply looks like it. But I would need more (and better quality) pictures to confirm.

by beetle1303I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.
On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off...3 Photos-

by Donny2derbyPicked this up other week and when I originally looked at in the sellers house I got 3/4's of a working screen and some horizontal lines across the 1/4 of it which was dead/black.
Just tried powering it up at home and now all I'm getting is a clicking and some very faint lines on 1/4 of the screen whilst the entirety of it is dead.
When using the remote I get two red clicks on the standby. Not sure if this means anything or helps. The same when I use the manual power up.
Help appreciated. I'm an electrician, I've fixed a few in the past so not a total... -

by AcnologiaHere is a pretty crazy one.
Step 1.
Laptop was brought to me as dead not working. Removed everything , cleared everything.
Step 2.
Some liquid damage close to the Type - C connector, and the connector even though it was cleaned wasn't charging the battery . Removed the Type-C port, and replaced it. Now the laptop turns on and charges battery. Shows external screen , not internal.
Step 3.
Took out the screen and checked it to a secondary Gen 2 i have, screen works like a charm.
Step 4.
Lets ,dive into the board. I see the edp cable on the... -
by mrsithHi fellow lifesavers.
I have a Samsung washer-dryer WD80N645OOW which died mid-cycle. No response to anything, completely dead.
Checked the socket, the plug fuse, all good. Took it out to examine the boards.
There is a relay clicking on the mainboard. Upon applying power, I can see a diode flashing on inverter board, after a while a diode on main board lits up for a split second, then I can hear a relay clicking. This repeats a few times, then everything dies completely.
I've been trying to examine the main board, but it's a bit difficult becuse...4 Photos - Loading...
