TC-P42S1, Replaced SC Board got 10 Blink Code

New to Badcaps so sorry if any of this is a double posting. It's kind of a long story so bear with me...

    Panasonic 42" Plasma TC-P42S1

Heard a loud pop on my TV about a month back, followed by the 7 blink code. Did some research and isolation tests, figured out it was a bad SC board. Replaced the board with one from ebay. TV fired up but the screen looked glitched out, like an old NES game(pics attached).

The tv then wouldn't turn on after that. So I replaced the SU/SD boards as well just in case they were damaged along with the original SC board. I got the TV to turn on again, and while I was adjusting the panel ribbons to get rid of the horizontal black bars, the TV shut off and I got a 10 blink code. When I disconnect the SC board, it goes to 6, so I am assuming the SC board is bad (again) and needs to be replaced, BUT does anyone know what could be causing that screen issue when it comes on, or are all these issues somehow connected?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't wanna dump more money into parts when I could just save up and get a new plasma. On the flipside, I don't wanna get rid of the TV when I could just buy some boards haha.

Well you probably started with bad SC and buffers, you then connected shorted buffers to a good SC and ended up with the bad display, sounds like you then replaced the buffers, had misalligned ribbons, had the TV on then adjusted these whilst on, shorted the buffers so probably dead and killed the Sc also again.

never adjust panel ribbons with the TV on.

to confirm the SC is bad, jumper the 2 pins at SC50 with the buffers disconnected from the SC and see if it turns on or no blinks.

You could also check resistance across SC2, may be shorted. You will also have to recheck the buffers to see if thaey are also blown again.

Panel could be shorted, i don't know a way to check that. If you had a normal picture with some horizontal lines it was probably ok but you shorted it when adjusting the ribbons powered on.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

      Assuming...

Samsung UN55H8000AF - No Picture, Working Backlight, Replaced T-Con Board
      by ermals
      Hi all!
I've recently run into an issue with my Samsung UN55H8000AF LED TV displaying no image. I've done quite a bit of research in terms of what could be wrong with it. Below are the steps I've taken prior to reaching out here for some assistance:

      1. I've tried replacing the T-Con board (BN95-01594A), twice and have still experienced the same issue with all the boards I've tested with.
      2. I've tried to remove one side of the ribbon cable that goes from the T-Con board to the panel and still not getting any image on left or right side.
      3. I've checked voltages...

Sony RB2G Chassis KDL-55W815B MAIN BOARD 2 Blink Error issue resolved! Happy days :)
      by cheeky2
For anyone interested just repaired this Sony Main board TV that had a 2 blink error code, the chassis is a RB2G which is common to quite a few different Sony models. The Ceramic 10uF 25V X7R 1206 capacitor C9114 was shorted which took the smd 2A 0603 fuse out F9101. This was powering the Buck converter TPS54332 which caused no 5V output from it.
See the attached picture of the locations of both components. I also attach the best service manual I found for this board for anyone else in a similar position of trying to repair this main board. It's not specific to the TV model however it gives...

      Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
      by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
      CN6401
      Pin 01 NC
      Pin 02 NC
      Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
      Pin 04 "N/C"
      Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
      Pin 06 "GND": N/C
      Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...
